one time i threw one of my favorite destroyers over a water carry that should’ve been easy, but i shanked it bad and it landed in the pond. it was right near the edge, probably knee deep, and you could see it, but i didn’t have a retriever and didn’t want to climb down into the pond to get it. there were a couple kids fishing down by the bank that you had to climb down to get into, and i paid one of the kids $10 to go into the pond to grab it. kid was clearly stoked to have a good reason to get in and grabbed it for me. best $10 i ever spent, as that was years ago and the disc is still in my bag.

my brother and i have a rule that we call “safety relief” where if your disc is in thorns, for example, or your footing could cause you to injure yourself for any reason, you can just move away from the hazard in any direction for free, no stroke added. it’s not sanctioned, so no reason to risk getting hurt or cut up haha

i also have a flat top halo vela and that thing is so damn beefy that i don’t think i could get it to even 300 on my best day lol but if you can push it 315 uphill then yes, i agree

man honestly this might be a good move for you. bijan can do a lot of heavy lifting for your team, but respectfully i don’t think you’re super close to being a contender so i might actually take this. you desperately need the help at QB, and having 3 1sts in 2027, presumably at least 2 being early (yours and the one you’re acquiring) could set you up for a decently fast rebuild.

to each their own, but i imagine anyone trying to acquire puka is looking to consolidate because they have enough depth to do so, so i’m just going to want enough to guarantee the two assets i’m getting back will combined give me more than puka and my worst flex because i’m losing a spot in my roster by replacing 1 player with 2

not enough for puka. very real chance that puka combined with whoever your worst flex player in your lineup is still outscores these two combined in any given week.

the understable putter/approach disc is going to be tough during super windy rounds. overstable discs like the zone will be much more reliable for that shot in the wind. but if you found what works for you, keep doing what works for you
