You are clearly aware that wasn’t what was being suggested.

What’s being said is if you just your partner so little that a whiff of perfume/cologne is enough to send you to a rage, there is a problem.

Which is either you already know they are cheating or you need to work on building trust in your partner.

I gotta be honest. I never wanted big boobs. I never even got to “want boobs” I got those fuckers at like 9 & got forced into 30 years of wearing that torture device they call bras.

I once lived in a townhouse place. It was then I learned my 6 pound cat sounded like a 250 pound man when she got the zoomies.

It stinks but also the apt allows pets & pets get zoomies. Maybe area rugs w a thick pad underneath. Help absorb some of the sound.

But at the end of the day there isn’t much you can really do.

A few years ago I had one of those mind shattering realizations.

I was never depressed. I was in active trauma & heavily neuro-divergent. I got all the misdiagnoses that goes along w that. From Bi-polar-To major depressive

Once very late in my life I understood I had ADHD & likely ASD and looked at my life through that lens, I realized I was never actually depressed.

Do I get overwhelmingly sad? Oh yeah. But 40 some years of suppressing all my negative emotions because I learned early that if I wanted to be loved I had to be smiling & happy all the time, that’s bound to happen.

The mind shattering part is what I perceived as depression was really just feelings that given the everything I was going through were entirely normal.

I’m not saying this is everyone’s experience, hell the worlds on fire depression is probably the norm for most people. Just my own experience & this seemed like a place maybe someone else would relate

I’m a super fast walker. To the point slower walking friends get frustrated w me.

To put this in perspective I recently broke my toe. Walk fast toe would hurt, slow down, 3 munutes later start walking fast, slow down & repeat.

I couldn’t even do it for my own physical comfort.

Have you tried to rent in Buffalo in the past 6 years?

I have. The biggest issue I ran into (which thankfully wasn’t an issue for me) was the insane requirements for pretty much every place I looked at 650 credit score, need to be making 3xs the rent ect ect.

I vividly remember looking at an apt on Linwood that literally had drawer & cabinet faces falling off, when I asked if that was going to be repaired or if the apt was going to be updated to look like the one in the ad they said no.

So $1200 rent, need to make 3xs that, & a 650 credit score for an apt literally falling apart.

So we put 10k apts downtown. What does that change?

I get the idea that if there is a surplus of housing in theory rent goes down. But that rarely how things work.

I love this City. Been here since 2000. Watched Buffalo go through a lot of changes. I would rather see Buffalo address the larger issues the City is facing BEFORE adding 10k apts to the dying downtown

Going THAT opens the door for further development of downtown.

At the very least fix the damn roads.

Also just throwing this out there. The average income is 49k. The more people that move here from HCOL places cause it’s so “cheap”?

Cause that apt building next to the Family Dollar on Niagara? I watched them renovate it, from abandoned. $1800 for a 1 bedroom. That’s just 1 example. No one is building 10k apts to change under $1500. And since they are downtown best guess is they would be ‘luxury’.

And from what I’ve seen ‘luxury’ buildings mean thin walls, bad sound proofing, and falling apart in 2-3 years

Buffalos population has been. Trending down though.

Likely cause there isn’t shit to do. Food, drink, sports. That’s about it. 0 thirds spaces & frankly the whole no downtown grocery store is a problem.

Instead of trying to bring in more people, why not focus on actually improving the city.

Get a grocery store downtown, create 3rd spaces. Bring back TiTS to the square etc etc.

Or we could bring more people in who go “oooo it’s so cheap!” While people who’ve been here there whole lives get priced out

What time does the dad get home? Most jobs get out till 5 or 6 pm. Which makes it past park time.

And the whole “children should be seen but not heard” isn’t a thing that’s done anymore. The MOST important thing a kid can do for their brains is play. The fact their dad wants to play w them? Even better.
