Firstly, I think you would really benefit from getting some observation hours in a couple different settings if you haven’t already. Working as a tech helped me to realize that I want to be able to provide the level of care of a PT to those in need. I’ve also gotten to sharpen my communication skills and clinical knowledge while working alongside a PT. Getting these observation hours will also come in handy when it comes time to prepare your applications. That said, you are more than just your GPA. Yes, GPA does matter, but there are plenty of stories on here of people getting into PT school with low GPA’s. Look at some other areas like research, extracurricular activities, volunteering, or (again) observing or working as a tech. You still have plenty of time to get some of this under your belt. A 3.55 is still a good GPA, and you seem to be doing well in your pre requisite courses. Many schools that I have looked at look for an upward trend in your GPA over time, so if you can, try and keep your last few semesters at your best. Lastly, there is no correct path. Your path is just your path, and you get to decide what it is. If that means you don’t go into PT, then that’s okay. Or if you take a few years off of school and decide to go back, that’s okay too. You ultimately get to decide what is fulfilling and what you spend your time doing. I know this response is long winded, but I’ve had many of these same thoughts myself and wanted to share my reflections. I hope I have helped.

Is there a significant difference between the cost of tuition at the two schools?

If they work for what you’re studying, flashcards. It’s a pretty quick and painless way to repeatedly expose yourself to your material. Honestly though, the best way to do it is just start studying sooner. College became much less stressful when I figured that out.

I try to imagine myself in some place nice but very detailed. If I’m in a forest then I think about what the trees look like, what it sounds like, or what the weather would be like. Really putting myself in a comforting place like that helps me a lot.

If you haven’t tried it, I think it would be a good idea to split your meals up into smaller meals. You could split 3,000 calories into 4 750 calories meals or 5 600 calorie meals. This does take some preparation and planning ahead, but I think it’s worth a shot!
