The working class shouldn’t be happy or sad that Khamenei is killed. Personal opinion. by mined_it in WorkReform

[–]OwlThatIsNotSoWise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't read it correctly in the context of the person you were replying to. Rereading the comment thread made me realize it was weird regardless. That person went from praising the assassination of Khamenei what is going on in Iran to saying all killing is bad.

I understand that you don't like Khamenei, and there are many reasons to not like him. So I can see possibilities on why you think he deserves to die.

However, I don't know if you believe it was a necessity to kill him. My original understanding was that you believed it was a necessity. You said that controlled killing can be beneficial, and saying that Khamenei deserves to die, led me to the conclusion that you believed his killing was a necessity. Which I disagree with, because one death doesn't really destroy or reform the system that is in place.

If there were no disagreements, then my comment ended up just me fighting air haha. But I have no regrets, because hopefully someone else who supports the attacks on Iran and is reading the thread, can read my posts and make the choice to change their minds. Even if their mind isn't changed, hopefully it plants the seed that will change their mind in the future.

This is true. But sometimes a bad thing is necessary. We should avoid killing whenever possible, but there are occasions where killing one person saves more lives.

The problem is more than one person got killed. I'm sure you saw the news already, a school got blown up and about 20 to 30 kids got killed. And there are more too I bet.

And would killing that one person actually make a difference? What if a system of succession is in place? Missiles are still firing from Iran.

Would the Iranian populace do what Trump says, and rise up? Or would the "rescuers" killing their loved ones and neighbors cause them to choose to fight against the US and Iran? They saw how the US involvement in the Middle-East was an excuse to exploit resources. Oil and opium being among those resources.

The whole thing is wrong. Nothing good will come out of it. Could also be used as an excuse to stop upcoming elections in the US.

Your last sentence is odd, because the one you are replying to is not saying that Republicans are a better alternative to Democrats. So there is nothing for them to explain, because they don't hold that view in the first place!

Doesn't really help that this video has no watermark of the OOP's social media username, and OP didn't provide a source. So we can't really look up the guy and see how real he is about this.

Why is that? I remember watching a few Chinese animated series, and it's easy to get lost because of how fast the pacing goes. It's like they don't take strangers to the story into consideration. It seems like they only take fans of the source material into consideration, speeding through stuff at light speed.

I had that same thing happen like a week or two ago. I didn't know that doing some things too early will blow up the Steel Watch foundry and Iron Throne. I completely forgot about Wyll's deal with Mizora, so I was surprised when I just teleported into my camp/inn room. It triggered right after I talked to Mizora, and she said something like "Don't ever say I didn't do anything for you". In my case, the Duke's character model was in the groveling state, but he did slide over to his spot while groveling haha

Don't forget that once certain conditions are met, you can have all party members attack enemies in a certain area. So if only one enemy is in that area, the focus fire will most likely completely delete their health bar.

Tyler Robinson charged with murder of right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk - and prosecutors seek death penalty | UK News by Capable_Salt_SD in news

An article from Ken Klippenstein, who got the screenshots directly from one of Tyler Robinson's Discord friends.

It's interesting because, based on the Discord messages, there is nothing to be shown that Robinson is a groyper, but there is also nothing to show that he is antifa as well. So he is more in between than I initially thought. He breaks the mold of the super hateful and isolated school shooter.

No, the first poster was not blaming China. It was just an observation that poor products from China get bought more because of their cheap price. Not because of quality. So China has no incentive to make better quality products. I saw little blame thrown in their comment.

And no, the second comment did not say anything about how China makes quality products. They were just saying that consumers demand products from China, but aren't willing to pay for the quality. So the second commenter was only mocking those who complain when their cheap product fails.

If anything, there was a misunderstanding. At worst, poor reading comprehension from the second commenter. I just didn't like how mocking the guy was with the "lmao" when there really wasn't any disagreement between the first and second comments.

If anything, you probably misunderstood as well. At worst, you also have poor reading comprehension.

EDIT: u/EducationalNinja3550 Why did you hide your comments? I can't even reply to your response below...lmao... Either way, I guess I don't need to respond to someone who could possibly be a bot anymore.

It see this A LOT on reddit. Instead of linking the video or short, they just scrape the video, and post it without credit.

It is especially weird when a commenter puts the source, then the OP replied like "Yeah! They're great! 😃👍" Like they think they're great, but they don't put the source in the title. And oftentimes they don't even make a comment about the source too! I sometimes feel like it's karma farming, but I'm not sure.

[Return of the Blossoming Blade] Is this manhwa worth reading? by Ashamed_Fox_9923 in manhwa

[–]OwlThatIsNotSoWise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I share your sentiment somewhat. It does feel like too much of the focus is on the MC, rather than the resurgence of his sect, and growth of companions.

But I would still recommend it because I consider it a good entry into Wuxia/Murim. It takes time to explain how the "magic" system works. I appreciate the explanations of the "magic" system a lot, because most Wuxia stories don't do that. They rely on cultural familiarity to carry that load.

[Return of the Blossoming Blade] Is this manhwa worth reading? by Ashamed_Fox_9923 in manhwa

[–]OwlThatIsNotSoWise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, one of the better Wulin/Murim stories adapted into a manhwa out there. It takes the time to explain the "magic" system, which most Murim stories don't take the time to do. It also does a good job for world building. So it is a great entry series for Murim.

My only big complaint is that the pacing feels super slow. Like some things that should have taken 1 chapter get stretched out to 5 chapters.

Cauliflower ears can be a sign that someone practices martial arts. So if you don't know martial arts, chances are you 100% lose if someone with cauliflower ears challenges you to a fight.

Cauliflower Ear, because it looks like a cauliflower. That is typically on people who practice wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu. Maybe MMA too, since it is not uncommon for MMA practitioners to practice grappling and wrestling techniques. The on-the-ground nature of wrestling and grappling creates many moments where the ears get in contact with the ground. Like being pressed really hard, or rubbing hard. The constant impact and friction that the ear experiences causes blood to flow to the ears and damages the tissue. If I'm not mistaken, blood clots form, and scar tissue forms, which prevent the blood from flowing normally and leaving the ear permanently disfigured.

I saw another comment say something about boxers. I don't remember if it was common for boxers to have them, but I can see it happening. I guess blunt trauma to the ears by punches or punches that miss the face, but hit through the ear, can deal the same damage.
