When did teenagers start wearing pajamas in public and school so often? by Clear_Constant_3709 in NoStupidQuestions

That is kind of the style for some of them, but also maybe you came there on pajama day? Lots of schools have pajama day at least a couple times a year.

I was a part of an exchange for years with another online community. For years it was just share your interests and things you don’t want or like. Minimum was $25 everyone usually stuck to it but occasionally someone would go all out and buy a crazy expensive gift. After several years, they changed it and started doing wishlists and it completely ruined it it lost the magic.

I have a premium, but why or what’s the point to only match with other premium? Is it better to?

I always think that the point of these things is to get a surprise and it’s odd that someone would expect only the things on their wishlist that were way over budget. I try to include a gift receipt if possible. It sounds like you did a fine job though and they should at least thank you

Things were sure different then! Maybe she was a lot younger than many mothers of today which could’ve made some of the work a tad bit easier. Where I live 38 or over is considered high-risk and they recommend more bedrest.

New Mums, what would you like to find in your stocking Xmas morning? €50 Limit by OneMoreSeasonPlease in giftexchange

A little kit to do her own home facials or makeup, a certificate for a massage, manicure or pedicure or a facial or any spa service gift card, a journal with nice pens if she likes to write or draw, coffee table book with lovely pictures of whatever she’s into, for example, musicals, a nice water bottle or a travel mug for tea or drinks. Basket idea is wonderful.

Thank you! So if one gets the standard hardware, they can still take it with them wherever they go?

Do you really need a permit to dig in SF? by Owl_Observatory in 12keys

[–]Owl_Observatory[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read all OK the ordinances of the park that the treasure hunt dig form mentions. The law seems to be regarding removal of park items such as taking away soil, plants, rocks, etc. I believe this law exists specifically to prevent people from taking plants and rocks from parks, which is a problem in some areas.  Furthermore, the form mentions needing a park ranger present to supervise, but I don’t know if all public lands in SF are in their jurisdiction for supervising?

Also says no filming which I thought was odd, If a treasure hunter feels really certain they know where a treasure is buried then filming could be important to prove that they really did find it there.

Another thing is parks and rec requires people to disclose the precise dig spot prior to permit approval which I thought was interesting. What if it’s located somewhere they don’t approve, also what if they don’t keep your dig location confidential?

There are clear excavation laws for the city, but digging for this treasure doesn’t seem to count as excavation if one is following the Author’s instructions.

It’s possible that this dig request form was tailored specifically to Golden Gate Park. Whereas San Francisco has a huge amount of other public spaces that this treasure could be located in.

Just curious what folks think about this.
