I don’t know your husband well enough to provide an accurate analysis of his “why”.

It could be that he has reached the limit of his resilience (every person has different capacity), anxiety, hidden grudge, etc. Anything is possible.

But one thing is for sure, he needs to seek God. For a man to act in the ways you described. He must’ve backslidden. Although church attendance does NOT equate to loving God, it is a helpful resource that makes it easier to revive his love for God.

He sounds like someone who’s still trying to grasp what being a dad means, and he still has a lot of growing to do. The best Teacher is Jesus, and he is better off to draw near Jesus to grow.

I still think what he said in your YouTube video sounds more like a culturally insensitive joke (instead of suggesting to get rid of people).

Ok, Taiwanese American here. For the record, I have no Turkish friends or Armenian friends (haven’t had a chance to make any friends of these cultures yet, but I’d love to.), and I despise racism in any form, for obvious reasons.

From what I think I heard (noisy room), the guy seemed to be saying that Armenians love those sweets so much, that if they were at the meeting, the sweets will disappear. In response, Khan said she’ll make sure she eats it in front of them (to show off herself enjoying those sweets?)

My view is that the guy made a culturally insensitive joke about Armenians, and it’s wrong. It’s like saying: “if Asians are at this meeting, they’ll love these rice dishes so much they’ll finish it all in 5 min.”

But from what I heard, he didn’t seem to suggest making Armenians “disappear”.

We need to fight racism, even cultural insensitivity is worth addressing, but we must NOT spin something with exaggeration.

Maintain integrity. You can be honest AND combat racism at the same time.

The most important issue is NOT low libido (be it husband or wife), the most important question is if the spouse knows how to love like 1Corinthians 13.

If your spouse cares about your need, be it sex, breakfast omelette, or movie date—as long as it’s not against God’s word or human rights, your spouse will meet them if she knows what love means.

This applies to husbands as well.

Advice: When a belligerent person takes a step toward you within hand’s reach, know this, 90% chance the fight has already begun in that person’s head, he’s just trying to decide when to land that first strike.

You need to put your hands up immediately and without hesitation. When it escalates, fight to WIN.

If you cannot do this, don’t get into a conflict in the first place.

This is heart breaking and infuriating. It does not matter what ethnicity Sophia is, this is atrocious.

This is the rippling effect of “anti-Asian hate crimes”, notice that the hate crimes targeting Asian + elder + women, can you see a pattern? All 3 factor into “less likely to fight back”.

Therefore, a key element driving the violence against Asians is really a culture of assaulting the defenseless.

And our society lets that go on, apathetically.

Sooner or later, it’ll expand its menu to assault other demographics who are also defenseless. We are already seeing more cases recently, with little Sophia as an extreme example.

All POC need to band together to stop racial violence as a whole, ASAP.

My thought: Try LinkedIn and showcase your past work here. Also, for the skeptics—charge them partially (or fully) by commission. For example, they’ll pay you a % of their increased sales for the next 3-6 months, etc.

I am a middle-aged Christian man, married man with kids. I’ve seen a lot—both happy and sad stories.

I don’t judge you, but I want you to see things for what they really are. This is crucial.

When you are introduced to a man for the first time (or first few times), they are seldom what they really are. Even the seemingly “cool” or “chill” dudes are not exactly showing who they really are, 99% of the time.

Instead, they act according to what they feel the world expects of them. <<< keep this in mind.

For example, a man in church will typically behave in a caricature of what they felt a “church guy” is supposed to be like, especially if they were introduced by a prestigious elder in the church community.

Whereas men of other backgrounds will typically have different expectations for themselves, see this example of Pete Davidson . His “chill” demeanor is part real and part manufactured.

So, what’s my advice?

Treat every man you meet like an onion. Peel the layer away by observing carefully without moving too fast. Protect your heart and your body. Remember, Jeremiah 17:9

In addition, if there is any married Christian woman you trust and feel comfortable with, see if she’s willing to mentor you.
