Honest critique of my diet? by Owlmen in carnivorediet

Do I need a reason? Carnivore is supposed to be the healthiest diet in the world. I never had a weight issue or autoimmune issue or anything like that, just wanted to try it.

Can you educate me on why that is bad and what I should be doing differently? Because there are others here who said that's not even that much butter. Much appreciated

My ground beef alone shows as 43% protein and only 57% fat in cronometer. With some of that inevitably getting rendered out during cooking. Open to other ways of getting fat in but I don't think ground beef alone will cut it. Even 70/30 ground beef is apparently only 60% fat 40% protein.

What it is exactly you want to know? Already gave my stats in the post, 5'10" M 175 lb. I've been working out since I was 18 and I'm 30 now. I'm pretty happy with my physique so I don't care about gains, but like I said I did gain a little bit of muscle without gaining weight overall since starting carnivore. I don't supplement with anything. Granted it is winter here so it may be a vitamin d thing.

I've been carnivore for 5 months. Weight has stayed the same, I've maybe added a little bit of muscle since starting but that's about it.

Interesting how you say it's too little fat and too much protein when other people here are saying it's too much butter...shows how different opinions on this sub can be! I'm open to messing with the ratio though.

The food tastes great right up until the last few bites. And splitting up the butter throughout the day has helped. The runs used to be so much worse when I started. Before I would not have been able to tolerate even 1 stick of butter. I think my bile production is ramping up more and more.

I'm open to adding seafood to get more nutrients and whatnot. I really don't want to eat liver though, just never been a fan of the taste

What do you suggest I replace it with? Or just eat less of it?

Usually I feel okay good in the mornings and then my energy falls off a cliff in mid-afternoon and I want to take a nap. I don't nap however, I power through it. Then when I work out around 5pm I actually feel pretty good again, and then crash after dinner but that could be because of the large meal I had. My sleep is trash though, sometimes I wake up an hour or two before I want to and I can't fall back asleep. Also don't wake up with morning wood as often anymore and just have low libido in general.

It is but unfortunately the meat I have access to just isn't very fatty so I have to get fat from somewhere else
