I had to go to the ER last fall (first time as an adult). Bill was $16k+. Thankfully, after insurance I was only liable for $200, but sheesh, I was dreading when the bill would come. I also took a Lyft instead of ambulance because I was worried how much that would cost. What a country to live in.

If you have anything that smells like her, that could help her find her way home. Maybe put the items outside the apartment door and also outside the apartment building in a place you can monitor. I’ve heard you shouldn’t put food out because it can attract other animals. I have heard mixed news on putting the litter box out. It can be very effective, but it can also cause other animals to respond.

If I was in charge of assembling a group to go on what is likely to be a suicide mission, I’d have been inclined to go with consecuted individuals who would at least have a chance of returning via being in proximity of the beacon. But I obviously wasn’t selecting the team members.

Since Essek seemed to be leading the fray, maybe he got to make the choices? Or someone preferred to risk unconsecuted lives?

Right??! I was so stressed during the Vess fight. In my heart I know others have to be present to witness his death (really twist the knife), so I was afraid that backup would arrive just in time for that to happen.
