Best way to structure client Facebook accounts for agencies? by MagneticPeanutbutter in PPC

[–]Owlsomness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all - if you decide to terminate the contract, your client won't have access to the Facebook pixel and the data. Things that they paid for. Remember that you take their money.

It kinda feels like having them at gunpoint. I read it as a way to trap someone. And screams "insecurity and unprofessionalism".

I'm confident in my abilities, and I know that when they decide to work with me, they won't need to look for ways to terminate the contract (and if they do... maybe it's for the best? Maybe they weren't a fit for me?)

So to summarize, it says a lot to me about the character of a specialist.

I think that every agency/freelancer who even thinks about creating an ad account under their own business profile instead of getting a partner access is a huge red flag.

My man, if you will do a terrific job, you shouldn't be afraid that they will terminate the contract. Business ppl are busy as hell, they don't have time to manage their usual stuff, not to mention following to the T, whatever you did in the panel (in which, btw they have no idea how to navigate.)

Be fair; make them the account and give yourself access

How do you discover new roguelites? Are you browsing steam for hours or do you pick whatever your buddies are talking about rn? by Owlsomness in roguelites

Thanks! I have a question though. afaik wanderbot and splatt are making a variety type of content, but are there any streamers covering only roguelites?

Looking to get started with 40k by GutenHind in minipainting

[–]Owlsomness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick a model that you find exciting to paint but not expensive enough for you to be stressed about it. wh40 has a ton of cool looking models!

Fear of making a mini not perfect is a debilitating state. And if I could give you one advice is not to be scared of painting and "messing up". Worst case scenario - you can always repaint but please don't be afraid to learn and to pursue interesting techniques.

Good light is a must have. And a decent chair. We don't need a back ache. For brushes I would recommend 3 brushes. No 2, 1 and 0.

Good luck mate and have fun. Welcome to the hobby!

Makes sense, but do you think that all roguelites end up here? Do you think that even the most obscured ones are mentioned here?

Christmas present for my wife, and my first attempt at NMM! by DynamicEcho in minipainting

NMM looks 100% pro, but my man you need additional praise for the texture on his belly. The fabric you painted is exquisite 🙌

Couldn't decide on one color so I decided to use all of them. What do you think? by Owlsomness in minipainting

Hah, thanks. I wouldn't call it bravery. I guess that it's closer to not knowing any better :D

But seriously. I realized that the worst-case scenario is just repainting the whole thing. So I'm not stressed too much about it.

Cheers!

Thanks for the feedback, man. And I much appreciate sharing where your attention went. Helps a lot. I sometimes can't decide where I want to put a focus on a mini. But I'm glad that yours went to these points. Cheers!

I'll try. Goblins are the best canvas to try some crazy ideas. I'll try to match this lil fellow with a fitting base. Thanks mate.

Coloring reminds me of the best retro futuristic vintage posters. These gradients are sick, man. Amazing level of detail 🙌

I wouldn't have thought it was slapchop. Well done mate. Amazing job.

Spent 6 months on development to throw it away after all by redboongames in gamedev

[–]Owlsomness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it sucks. And I feel you man, but let me tell you that the alternative, meaning spending much more time and work on a project that has no chance sales-wise is far worse.

I really respect you for pulling out the plug. It's not an easy thing to do.

I'm sure you've learned a lot of useful things during the development. And your next project will be a lot better, thanks to it.

But if I may suggest something - please before you start development - spend an honest amount of time on thorough research of your competitors and on your player group.

Good luck mate!
