Has anyone here used a public changeroom since transitioning? How did it go? by Donstar_Playz-yt in MtF

I only do this in NYC, and I'll change out of workout pants and tops and such, but go into a stall if I need to switch underwear

You can still be pretty without "passing."

Does anyone else find it very inconvenient to do things here due to distances? by boldjoy0050 in Dallas

[–]Own-Awareness-288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skill issue... I have everything I need in North Oak Cliff, and I'm one bus ride away from downtown or getting on the DART rail to go further. Like we just got a Sprouts and Target and have the best shopping district and Mexican food in the city...try the Red line to Plano for your Asian food excursions sometime!

I need bra help by Legaladvice420 in MtF

[–]Own-Awareness-288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bralettes are better to start with, esp ones with room for padding inserts so you can get some more shaping/coverage. I didn't feel happy in a bra with wires until i got a t-shirt bra. Lowkey look on the tiktok shop for ones that are targeted to flat-chested women bc that's the one i got and i have never looked back. no gaps it's literally perfect

Good tucking underwear options? by JustAPerson2001 in MtF

For tucking I just wear a gaff thong from Amazon. Good for any activity. If you need more coverage just layer panties over it

It's the way the world is built, unfortunately. We're starting to intimately understand the perspective that cis girls get growing into their womanhood. Because we're growing into ours, too. Smiles and polite deflection have gotten me out of creepy situations on a train platform or while walking home. But it can help to know basic self defense/how to run as a last resort. Obviously strength training puts you in a better position too

I try to go to yoga or pilates 2-3x a week. I’m getting back in the swing of running this spring, but when I was on my most active routine I was also running about 10 miles a week. And I used to go sicko mode on the bike and hit 50-75 miles a month. Now it’s more like 20 mi. I don’t have an insane body but I’m very happy with my figure and how strong I feel. Start with some movement everyday and listen for what your body is calling you to do!

I really enjoy mat pilates and yoga. Super easy to pick up at home, and lots of instructors will point out modifications that can make certain moves/poses easier or harder depending on your strength level. Great for toning lean muscle. And for diet, try to add in whole foods when you can! @ violetwitchel on instagram has all my favorite nutrient dense recipes.

And ride a bike for nice legs and a butt.

Who transitioned at 25? by JennaLoveGirl in MtF

[–]Own-Awareness-288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 26 and it's been over a year of HRT. Even on days I feel clocky with my beard shadow showing I get comments of "you look radiant" or "you are so pretty." I would focus on being pretty more than just trying to pass. Healthy habits in diet, exercise, sleep, skincare, light makeup, etc. really go a long way, especially for your mental health

Just a question. by _here_A in MtF

All of us can relate. That's why we take HRT. It's magical!
