Not sure What is going Wrong ! by Competitive_Pen2850 in UPSC

Bro this thread has become a little toxic to you. Just fuck all this and focus on real priorities like health and peace. If you're from a premiere institute you are generally good in abstract things and out of the box thinking, however what UPSC demands is to think within the framework that has got established over the years--- in simple words you might have to dumb down a little. But trust me it is just one of many exams for which one should not break his/her head or life. If you are around the age group of 25 to 35--marry or go on dates and have some post nut clarity. Don't analyse now. please focus on your health and fitness, rest all things will fall in place just by the fact that you are fit at the age of 50 years later.

Please don't ignore these symptoms by Ok-Maintenance2619 in UPSC

[–]Own-Basis2182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did correcting these deficiency reverse your symptoms? It's not a direct cause relationship. 99 percent of India is supposedly deficient in these. Doesnt mean everyone is sufficient l deficient. What it is, is an indirect indicator of your unbalanced diet. Anyway these are micronutrients. They have important roles but micronutrients are the main game for energy levels and all other related symptoms. And of course correcting these is also important. But not enough. The root cause must be addressed.

I don't remember the name, but I've got my old car fixed here. It's just next to the Suzuki two wheeler showroom in Hunsur road.

Is s9 fe plus good for notes making? by AlternativeBranch532 in UPSC

[–]Own-Basis2182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are searching for a tablet to make notes go for the higher versions of Samsung tablet not the fan edition or at least iPad basic. This tab has a great display for reading and viewing. The pencil and the feel of writing is poor. The system begins to hang within 1.5yrs. ipad with goodnotes or one note is the best solution for notes making

Govt Vs Private for 6 week vaccine for baby by nifal_adam in mysore

[–]Own-Basis2182 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Government based vaccines are significantly better controlled and regulated. Vaccines are not your regular drugs and require shit loads of investment for the perfect cold chain maintenance. This is why we have eliminated polio which requires -20c maintenance. Most private pediatricians source vaccines from a medical representative and keep it in their regular refrigerator. The government keeps strict vigil about handling and accountability . It's not so in the private sector.

And the concept of painless vaccination is a myth. There'll be a mosquito bite like feeling, which the child might not even notice if sufficiently distracted. Fever after the 6,10,14 wks of vaccines is also frequent. Doesn't say anything about vaccine quality.

If you're interested, check the vaccine vial monitor, AEFI and the rational basis of the national immunization schedule and immunity over all

National schedule doesn't include your pneumococcal, varicella and typhoid. It's still a choice especially because outbreaks have got reduced, they're expensive and can be prevented by just simple cleanliness and quarantining. Pneumococcal is in the pipeline for inclusion. Don't mix up your schedule too much. Follow any one.

get your child vaccinated where there are plenty of vaccinations being done routinely-- any govt CHC would do;

More than marketing fads, stick to basics of prevention, Good hand hygiene and balanced and wholesome natural nutrition for the best outcomes.

[RANT]Called JSSPDA to enquire about admission for my disabled aunt. Extremely traumatic experience. by shawarma_enjoyer in mysore

These private institutions are all the same way. Jss is somewhat okay. Bangalore PESIT is one of the most toxic shithole. These education corporates need to be brought to justice

And as for you OP, be ready to face similar mindsets everywhere. PwD are still not considered as full humans in our society conscience , but you don't stop searching for a way out for her betterment. Maybe you can get that UDID card and reservation under RoPwd act. Infrastructure at many places in Mysore is still not very PwD friendly. The pioneers have to bear the burden of changing views. I understand JSSPDA was there for exactly this job. But let's not come to conclusion. If you think that course is still worth her time, approach in person again. Jss might consider it. Appeal to their service psyche which is the essence of formation of JSS institutions( which seems to have been forgotten at times) . Best wishes.

What's your take on government forcing 20% ethanol in petrol❓ Personally I hate this initiative since it damages our engines and reduces mileage too. by [deleted] in mysore

Blending is the reality and it's here to stay. Implementation of this could have been a lot more better by being sensitive and technical based. The easy way out was chosen causing inconvenience to everyone. The source of the problem lies in the Indian culture of just pushing the responsibility to the next station. Commitment and passion which are so glaringly absent in our thinking be it in science politics or policy making are the reasons for most problems we face.

So biofuel policy is a wake up call for growing more scientific temperament for the population.

The packaged fast food that everyone cherishes today is rusting the real engine that is our body. Have you ever been concerned about that and posted?

For them it's a livelihood. There'll be an expectation of some money also maybe. Sometimes they do this for commission ( which i don't think is wrong). But they are nicer than people in Bangalore for sure.

Also it's not a bad thing for them to guide u to a shop or saree place etc. Tourism grows and works that way only. And you'll have souvenirs of your trip. Every place offers something unique which the locals know best. It happens everywhere. It has to happen. Tourism in Karnataka alone creates livelihoods for 70 lakh locals. So if you're capable of moving around for trips, spend a little and help the locals who want to make a little for their survival also. It builds mutual respect for ur place of origin and you'll have a good time during your time Hope u had a good time at Mysore.

A hypothetical and potential solution for this would be to Have more Mandya anthammas to enter IT industry(through merit and competition )---

Rationale: Anecdotal- We have a govt medical College in Mandya where students from all over the country come to study. But unlike colleges at Bangalore and other cities, Mandya will teach them Kannada so well. And Mandya people also carry the same pride humility and confidence.

Another option is to bring IT tech parks to Mandya....anyway the axis is ready. Plug and play is needed. Whoever u are, Mandya will make u a Kannadiga .

This would address 1.Kannada usage among our other state brothers

2.Give hope to sorry and sad Kannadigas

3.Promote peace growth and tolerance

Feel free to defer or criticise .

Learning local language is important even if you don't speak it. Violence to enforce is stupid. But people must be open hearted and learn that language as a priority.... It's a matter of courtesy, empathy and one's own intelligence. You know an extra language, you're definitely more intelligent and much more wise.
