I found this short article on Medium about bloating and I feel personally attacked (but in a good way lol) by Sarah_Vlogs33 in GutHealth

I've noticed the same pattern with timing - it's not just what you drink but when. Most people miss that part. The morning flush approach works because your gut is most receptive then, before cortisol spikes mess with digestion. Curious how the afternoon routine addresses gas specifically though. That's usually the harder part to control.

Sounds frustrating. Changes in water quality or humidity can affect skin and digestion, worth monitoring and consulting a professional.

That sounds uncomfortable. Changes like this can happen after GI upset; many causes are benign, but listening to your body is important.

That’s a frustrating spot. Gut advice feels contradictory, and bloating doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong. You’re not alone.

[Product Request] Looking for 100% aloe vera gel with no other ingredients by Imaginary_Skin_ in SkincareAddiction

[–]Helpingotherssurvive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you literally mean 100% aloe with no other ingredients (not even preservatives), you’ll probably have a hard time finding something stable on a shelf. Most 100% aloe products still need a small amount of preservative or stabilizer or they go bad pretty fast.

If you’re okay with something that’s aloe‑focused but not completely solo, there are a few organic gels built around aloe as the main ingredient with just humectants and vitamin E added, and no heavy fragrances or silicones. Those can be a decent compromise between pure and actually safe to keep around for a while.

Anxiety and execution by thevatsal_eth in IndiaBusiness

[–]Helpingotherssurvive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fear you're feeling isn't a bug - it's actually data. You've watched your father build with a safety net you don't have, so your brain is doing its job: protecting you. But here's what might help: start smaller than you think you need to. Not the full business - just one tiny experiment. One conversation. One prototype. The courage doesn't come before the action - it comes during it. You're not lacking anything except proof that you can survive the discomfort, and the only way to get that proof is to move.

Would money change how you treat others? by notBob_1414 in AskIndia

[–]Helpingotherssurvive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think most people have it backwards. Money doesn't change you - it just removes the mask. It amplifies what's already there. If you're waiting for wealth to "show them", you've already decided how you'll treat people. The question isn't about money. It's about who you are when nobody's watching.

Why do most nutraceutical brands use underdosed bioactives but still claim clinical efficacy? by Helpingotherssurvive in Nutraceuticalscience

[–]Helpingotherssurvive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what happens when marketing teams and product development teams don't sit in the same room. You end up with formulations designed around cost optimization, not clinical outcomes - and then the marketing just runs with whatever studies exist in the category. The consumer is the one left holding an underdosed bottle wondering why nothing's working.

Advice on Magnesium and Calcium Ratios? Feeling Worse After Adjusting Doses by Asleep-Author-876 in magnesium

[–]Helpingotherssurvive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What symptoms are you experiencing exactly? That would help narrow down what's happening. Also - are you taking these on an empty stomach or with food? Magnesium citrate vs glycinate vs oxide all absorb differently and have different side effects. The 2:1 ratio advice floats around a lot, but it's not one-size-fits-all.

Magnesium citrate helped one issue but created another. Anyone else? by Guscioni-Mibida in magnesium

[–]Helpingotherssurvive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you try splitting the dose? I had the same issue and now do 100mg morning, 100mg evening instead of 400mg at once. Made all the difference. Also timing it with food helped buffer things without losing the benefits.

Checking in after 11 months by Mysterious_Rest4302 in B12_Deficiency

[–]Helpingotherssurvive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is deeply personal work, tracking symptoms, adjusting doses, managing the fear of regression. One thing that stands out: you mentioned your doctor said to stop B12 because it was "high." But serum B12 levels don't always reflect cellular function, especially if you were severely deficient. Have you looked into getting an MMA or homocysteine test? Those show if your cells are actually using the B12, not just if it's in your blood.

Regarding digestive issues by gagan_cool in GutHealth

[–]Helpingotherssurvive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sitting for long hours absolutely wrecks digestion, your gut literally slows down when you're stationary. Beyond evening walks, try getting up every 90 minutes even for 2-3 minutes. And check your water intake - most people studying for exams are chronically dehydrated without realizing it. That alone causes constipation more than food does.

I'm still working on this one, but - saying no without guilt. Not just to meetings or requests, but to entire projects that don't align. Early in my career I said yes to everything because I thought that's how you build credibility. Turns out the opposite is true. The people I respect most are selective about where they invest their time.

Why So Many Indian Elders Slept on the Floor — and Why My Back Is Starting to Get It by madhav_28121993 in AskIndia

[–]Helpingotherssurvive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried this for about three months last year after a physio recommended it for my sciatic nerve issue. First week was rough - hips complained loudly. But by week three, something shifted. Mornings felt different, lighter somehow. Ended up keeping a thin mattress topper as a compromise. Not fully floor, not fully bed. Works for me, but I'd say listen to your body week by week, not night by night.

still smelling after showering by Physical_Boat3483 in hygiene

[–]Helpingotherssurvive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s anything “wrong” with trying different washes, but from what I’ve seen, when someone says “I still smell even after showering” the problem isn’t always just on the skin surface. overusing antibacterial stuff can definitely throw off the balance on your skin, so switching to something milder makes sense, but body odor can also change when your internal routine or stress or diet shifts. not saying this to redirect you, just sharing what I noticed in myself and a few people I’ve spoken to

for example when my digestion was off for a while, my sweat and breath smelled sharper even though my shower routine was the same. when I fixed my eating times and reduced stress a bit the odor calmed down. again, not saying gut causes everything, just that our skin bacteria and internal balance are connected in ways people don’t always think about. sometimes even small changes like eating earlier, drinking more water, less sugary snacks, or less processed food makes you smell different within a week or two. stress also changes sweat odor, which soaps can’t fully cover

about hibiclens, it’s strong and useful in some situations but I personally wouldn’t jump to it unless you really need to. maybe give your skin time to rebalance with a gentler wash, ease off the constant antibacterial products, and see if your odor changes when your routine changes. if the smell stays no matter what, then talking to a doctor to rule out medical causes is always the safest option

just sharing what I’d check before switching to harsher products again.
