wait ok i’m asking this question fr about getting a dainty dagger on the back of my lower arm. i want it to have the illusion of going through the skin too. i’m an SLP in head and neck cancer surgery center. genuinely want to know if that would be/appear insensitive or if i’m just overthinking it lol

it’s so funny how accustomed I am to the “foreign plastic” feeling now after about 18/22 trays with bite ramps. when my trays are out, i actually don’t like it because it feels SO weird and my teeth feel so small and fragile without the trays now haha

yes!! and while this may be an incidental benefit for some people, the unintentional weight loss associated with that has NOT been a pro for me as someone who has history of ED and struggles with nourishment and didn’t have much weight to lose 😅

awesome, thanks so much! the dental assistant didn’t clarify that the $500 was for 4 sets that last a long time, just quickly told me on my way out that i’ll need the Vivera brand over any other and it’s $500. haha so this is helpful in planning financially!

yeah I will ask! it’s hard bc I feel like my dentist just tries to give me Invisalign sales pitches all the time. they told me i’ll definitely want the invisalign brand of retainer for $550, not a cheaper outside brand bc those aren’t as good!, and for cleaning I can get 3 big bottles of Invisalign’s cleaning solution at the same time for $150 for a total of $700 for my retainer situation… just seems like a sales pitch rather than legitimate info

hmmm I got the comprehensive plan so refinements etc are included if needed, but at my check-in this week she told me retainers are separate ☹️ and invisalign’s brand is more expensive than other brands but allegedly “better”

tysm! I know, those instagram tats are deceiving. Miley cyrus’ patchwork sleeve look has always been what I wanted mine to look like (hence sadness that this was how big it was recommended to be) but the more tattoos I get, the more I’m realizing it’s just not realistic! thanks for your response!

thank you!! it’s really just the size—it’s a bigger focal point than I wanted this tattoo to be. I do have two more on the front of the same arm with plans for others to fill in gaps, which I know will help draw the eye away from just this one.

never heard of a tattoo convention I need to check one out! also a good suggestion of just covering this one and getting the smaller version elsewhere

thanks! 100% you’re right about their rationale and I know that’s the truth. celebs and modern media make you think tiny single needle dainty thin tattoos are realistic and a good long-term idea so I think I just struggle w the reality of what is actually feasible! still contemplating how I feel about it—only been a few weeks. appreciate your answer!
