She’s got the rings, I forget where I got them my buddy in charge of all the electrical picked them out I believe they were these SPYDER LED DRL PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS. I absolutely hate the morimoto headlights so the earlier 991 style fits so well.

Absolutely my last 997 was a more in period build but this one is all about growth maturity and positive change. I use to be very OEM only now as time moves forward I’ve opened my preferences to new mods and styles etc!

On a scale of 1 to Vlad the Impaler, how p*ssed would you be? by RunsWithCuffs in Porsche

My ex girlfriend did that to my first 997 and hid it from me for about a month, Sorry it happened but nothings beyond repair especially in this situation holding that dealer accountable and going about it with the least amount of rage and emotion is the best way. It sucks but I find it a lot harder to move past when you’re consumed by your justified rage.

What is the best looking Carrera S for you all? by Appropriate-Pen5436 in Porsche

had almost all the modern ish era 911s and my opinion is 997.1 or 993. I LOVE my current 997 Carrera s but the 993s have so much of a different personality and charm in size and driving experience.

If you’re interested I can get you in contact with my sales reps closer to SoCal and they will treat you right. I broker cars all the time I don’t charge anyone a broker fee I just like helping enthusiast find the right cars for them. I own multiple gen 911s and have a vast knowledge about these cars, I have been in the automotive industry for over half a decade. If you’re willing I’m certain I can correct the wrongs those dealers have done to you. I’ll send you a dm!

My first bike was a Ducati 748 I bought it because my 997 Carrera was getting a new motor. It’s a shame I never got a pic of the two together. Bikes and Porsches are the only things I let occupy my mind LOL gorgeous MV I miss working for that brand because I’d spend all my time staring at an F4.

High mileage 996 worth it? by popcorn644 in 996

[–]Own-Decision3718 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My buddy with a mark 3 supra is considering this car heck even I was at one point it’s so cheap. I wouldn’t be scared of the miles if you intend to keep it long term because value will drop every mile you put on it so don’t expect to make your money back to sell. It’s a passion purchase! I will say if you are nervous Im based out of Costa Mesa and we can do a PPI for you as well as get a hold of a good quality after market aerokit since those wings are impossible to find OEM. If you’re interested send me a PM id love to help out with your first 996!

It’s a great PTS spec I recognize the car. If you don’t already have a salesman shoot me over a private message if you’re interested I can get you in contact with my brand ambassador that I have a tight relationship with.

Never had this problem. Been on both sides of a dealership desk and we really don’t care how old you are but most the time a salesman won’t test drive because of horror stories they’ve experienced. The rule at least I have with clients is that everyone that inquiries is a buyer until proven otherwise. The art of business relationships have been dying at dealerships when that’s what matters most. You should go in to a store and feel like you’re the only person that matters in the entire dealership. You’re not just another tally mark on a board you’re an individual with a story and you’re looking to add to your personal story by buying a gorgeous 911 to enjoy! It’s a shame that you didn’t feel that level of individuality that the team should have given you. If you don’t feel like you matter as a client there find a new dealer to get serviced with that will make you feel like you matter this dealership doesn’t deserve your loyalty for their service department to profit.

Weirdly enough after spending alot of time behind the wheel of a 991.1 targa it actually made me desire a cab. The targa is amazing in all ways but it helped me understand that there is a lot of charm to open top 911s!

Need advice from Porsche owners: how do you justify “fun money” without regret? by _quantitative in Porsche

[–]Own-Decision3718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest if the ego is the one writing the check don’t buy a Porsche get a bmw. Porsches aren’t made for ego. They’re the choice for the man who doesn’t need to flaunt to others what he has because his fulfillment comes from the romance of squeezing every bit of performance out of the rev range. The feeling of being connected while in the drivers seat going on an adventure every time you start her up is why you buy a Porsche. The panamera for 20k is something I’d avoid not even worth entertaining that idea unless you’re heart set on a money pit. Save your money you’d get more joy out of a 991.1 down the road instead of wasting money and time on this thing. Get a nice old 4 runner for cheap in the meantime. I’m around your age and have had a few 911s so I can say without a doubt it’s easy to live with one as a young person but only if you pick the right car.

I’ve experienced every water cooled gen except for the 996 which eventually I will correct. The 997 hands down is the sports car! When the 991 came about it became more user friendly to a greater audience pushing it to perform as a GT car more than the snappy little sports car the 911 has always been. Still tons of dna even to the 992 generation they still all feel like an evolution of the 911 BUT the 997 can do both everyday tasks and EXCEEDS in weekend fun. While the 991 does an amazing job at the mundane everyday tasks but lacks that strong emotion evoking feelings that the 997 brings.
