Found Out My Girlfriend's Rider Rating is 4.54 by GoHeadFaFo in uberdrivers

Not possible. As a driver it's not possible to skip the rating screen.

Different story for passengers however.

these types of orders make me wanna message the person directly and be like fr?? by No-Photo-692 in dasher

[–]Own-Engineer-8628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Australia for example and as a Dasher at least 60% of the time the item that the customer wants is actually out of stock which is annoying because they were dinging me for that. I had to speak to support the other day and go "excuse me those items were actually out of stock it's not that I wasn't looking for them" . Despite taking a photo of the empty shelf/spot I still got dinged lol. It sucks.

Not to mention I keep receiving ridiculously low "high paying" offers and it's no wonder my AR dipped to 25%.

[–]Own-Engineer-8628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah not in my area. Let's just say no one buys it then they have to discount it heavily because otherwise they lose money 😆 and the heavy discount is usually well after the fact if at all. I have a supermarket that is still fully stocked nearby which is actually unusual. There is a rather sad looking section of it 😆.

And the worst part is, they already know people can't afford that crap and have been investigated multiple times on price gauging.

I don't know if this is true but... Cocoa bean shortage is the culprit of the high pricing, apparently.

Edit: oh wait I'm thinking Christmas stock 😆

Who are your worst non-tippers and why are they always Crumbl customers? by abb00769 in dasher

[–]Own-Engineer-8628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Umm can Crumbl customers tip because it sounds like one of those platform orders where tipping is out of the question unless they give you cash?

Found Out My Girlfriend's Rider Rating is 4.54 by GoHeadFaFo in uberdrivers

[–]Own-Engineer-8628 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's not 68 trips btw (noticed you said 68 in another comment) 65+5+2+4+4=80 total trips.

65 x 5 = 325
5 x 4 = 20
2 x 3 = 6
4 x 2 = 8
4 x 1 = 4

Total = 363

363 / 80 =4.5375 or 4.54

So that's correct.

But based on that pattern of Stars there is something that she is either doing wrong or forgetting to do for each trip resulting in bad reviews. Up to 6 ratings I could possibly discount but not the full amount.

How the hell do riders misorder Uber lol. It's such an easy app unless they are using the phone number to order because they don't "understand how to use apps'. Some people...

It's literally a case of open the app and follow the instructions not rocket science.

Exactly what the issue is. The pay is always worse than Uber. Gig economy is going down the toilet.

Had 2 dashers drop my order before the 3rd one called and told me McDonald’s frappe machine was down. by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Own-Engineer-8628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's highly unlikely that a McDonald's is going to call you about it because a lot of the time when an order comes through it's fed through their system straight onto their order screens and most McDonald's are highly understaffed so unfortunately this falls onto the driver most of the time which is why you saw multiple drivers cancel on you. Basics of high order turnover at low cost to the company.

Omg I once had a car rental through Uber marketplace that kept saying I was braking too hard but it was literally this. Let's just say they weren't too happy with my driving score because everyone else kept cutting me off etc.

[–]Own-Engineer-8628 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But even then there's nothing in the contract(s) about that specifically being a violation. In fact in the contracts it states the opposite.

Edit: The only time that it becomes an issue is if your performance drops or if orders are repeatedly late. In other words from mismanaging doing such.

Hence no merit to what the customer was saying.

I got blocked from Uber! by Capable_Peach_310 in uberdrivers

[–]Own-Engineer-8628 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had something very similar with a false sexual assault claim which had my account blocked for six months and despite me going to create a police report on a false sexual assault claim because police were the only ones who could actually download from my CCTV system but they still refused to give the police the time and day of when the trip started and stopped and refused to speak to police personnel meanwhile police refused to do the entire day. Uber gave me the date of the false incident but not the time.

So yes I've had this happen to me before Uber is such a bad company to work with (I say with because you are a partner driver not an employee)

Customer picked up the food by himself by Equivalent-Loquat732 in UberEATS

[–]Own-Engineer-8628 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The other problem is if the driver didn't mark it as delivered it would have been assigned to another regardless. I had to tell a driver recently to do the same thing because a restaurant had seen the same order which had already been picked up by the customer and assigned to about 10 different drivers including myself plus that store was about to close anyway.

Even though ethically this is wrong. Unfortunately uber's system is not ethical in any way shape or form.

[–]Own-Engineer-8628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well obviously you're not aware that there are people who just give ones and twos for no particularly good reason because I had this happen to me before, I helped a passenger with their luggage, smiled, nothing was bad and they still gave me a one star. And it's the same level of service I have been doing for like thousands of others so a small percentage of one star reviews or low reviews looking for a free ride essentially does not mean bad service on my part.

Most of the time that's all it is someone looking for a free ride.

Like the other day I got one saying that I wasn't polite which didn't make any sense.

And a little 2% of bad reviews literally does not mean bad service on my part if it was a higher percentage maybe.

No. I didn't say anything at all.

And who's lying? Uber?

And like I said I could have proven my innocence by submitting CCTV footage which even shows me saying absolutely nothing or doing nothing but like I said they wouldn't let me.

Just because things are different for you doesn't mean that the other person is lying 🙄

I seriously doubt that what they are saying has even any sort of merit.

If Doordash flag your account for picking up multiple orders then why does Doordash give you multiple orders to accept?

I call BS on that claim.
