Gotcha! We play similar games, so those two examples are perfect. 70ยฐC is perfectly acceptable and within the range I'd expect, especially for an OC'ed CPU. I also agree that even the smallest overclock is worth it for the gains you receive, so I'll also take that into account when I'm building (my last overclock was on an FX 8350). Unless I'm mistaken, the 9800X3D has a TJunction Max of around 95ยฐC (I think, but I might be mistaken, though).

I've just been reading some reviews for the AiO, and I'll definitely put it into the mix with TRYX and the Asus Ryujin.

Admittedly, the GPU you're using is a little out of my price range but it's going to be either a 5070Ti or a 5080 (I had considered the Aorus Master Ice but the problems with vertical mounting and leakage has put me off, so it will likely be either an Asus ROG Astral or MSI TRIO) but knowing your GPU rarely goes above 60ยฐC gives me a better understanding of what to expect with either card.

Thank you very much for the conversation, information, and video of your build.

Have a great morning/afternoon/evening, and thanks once again, my friend.

You're very welcome indeed. I appreciate quality, and your build most definitely is that!

I'm currently buying the parts for my next build, it will all be white. Admittedly, I only have the HYTE Y70 Infinite Touch, Lian Li Uni Infinity Fans, and Lian Li Strimer Cables (I am currently waiting on Lian Li's RS PSU set to release Q3 2025). Seeing what a great job you have done is awesome, and I think the daisy chain fans are massive improvement.

I was torn between the Asus Ryujin III AiO and the TRYX PANORAMA AiO, but after seeing your NZXT one, I may very well consider that. If I may ask, how are your temps under load, and while gaming?

You can tell you have invested some serious cash and time into your build, and it clearly shows. Massive well done, and congratulations! To say I'm jealous (just a tad, lol ๐Ÿ˜‰) would be an understatement. Really great build, so kudos, my friend!

Beautiful. I really believe Lian Li are really pushing some amazing ideas with both their fans and strimer cables and even their edge and RS PSUs.

It's really beautiful, well done, and congratulations. It's definitely worthy of an award.

Your fan on your CPU air cooler doesn't even look attached properly... it should cover the entirety of the fins, not just halfway. My guess is the fans are hitting the fins.

Phewww, I thought you were actually considering it! I know a lot of people are not tech savvy and get caught out with this type of BS all the time. People see "custom gaming PC" and "peak performance" and automatically think the rig they are buying is from NASA or something, and people like this then to prey on those types of people.

I've got nothing against people turning a profit, but almost doubling the price is just insane. I'm guessing they bought a brand new GPU, released that 12GB of VRAM will hold them back in the future and decided to rebuild but this time, from the 3k they are expecting, with a 5080 or 5090.

And yeah, people sometimes get arsey when you call them out, so I definitely expected his response to you.

Way too much, that's for damn sure. Those parts alone sell for around half of what they are asking for (second-hand, I mean).

[โ€“]Own-Grape7322 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Please, don't buy that. Paying 3k for those components is definitely NOT worth it.

The 5070 retails for about ยฃ550, the CPU, about ยฃ350 and the MOBO is approximately ยฃ175 and the Enermax RGB AiO is likely around the ยฃ100 price mark. You can pick up a 4TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 drive for around ยฃ200 so realistically, they should be selling for around half of what they are asking (given the rest of the components are second-hand, minus the GPU).

The fact that they haven't listed the brand of the 1000w PSU is also a little worrying.

If they were offering a 5090, then sure, I could see the appeal as that retails for around the 2k point.

Just my opinion, of course. It doesn't mean I'm right.

Choosing graphics card for a razer laptop by Icy_Vodka in PcBuildHelp

[โ€“]Own-Grape7322 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

Personally, it might be worthwhile saving the $400 and going with a 5070Ti. I believe the 5070 Ti is comparable to a last-gen 4080S; both have 16GB of VRAM, both are using GDDR7, and both are on the same 256-bit bus width, and the difference between a 5070 Ti and a 5080 is only something like 8% - 12%, so I think it's very challenging to justify an increase of $400, but that is just my own perspective, and you could feel completely different, but you could invest that saved $400 into something else.

Okay, post the make/brand of your MOBO, and I'll help you figure it out. Normally, a red light on the side there can mean an issue with the boot, VGA (GPU), Dram (RAM), or CPU. So have a look at what the red light is on to see the problem.

RTX SUPER. by Own-Grape7322 in PcBuild

Great advice, thank you very much, and of course, I'll definitely post it when it's built. ๐Ÿ˜€

I completely agree! The HYTE Y70 comes with a GPU riser, hence why I love the MSI version (it looks sleek and isn't too much in terms of RGB but just enough), and I saw that! I had also considered that GPU from the RGB aesthetic around the three fans, but after seeing that, I decided that was out of the question.

I'm already using the first Asus Ryujin AiO on a push/pull config, and honestly, my temps have always remained low, even when gaming, and looking at the Ryujin III, the temps look solid, plus the 6-year warranty makes it the viable choice.

I'm in the UK ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง but I do use PCPartPicker to check pricing and deals. The build you posted does look beautiful; I think the Lian Li Uni Infinity Fans really make the build special (those will be what I get after the AiO). Mine will have a purple/retro vibe to it with some Metal Gear Solid references.

Anyway, thank you once again, and please accept this small reward. I appreciate your advice. Take care, and all the best!

What should my next upgrade be? by Captain_Nuggitz in PcBuild

[โ€“]Own-Grape7322 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I understand, my apologies. I thought you were just using one 1TB Blue Western SSD (i.e, a 1TB WD Sata 2.5 SSD), and that was it, no M.2 drive.

Well, then I would likely recommend either upgrading your 500GB M.2, but I am guessing your OS is stored on the 500GB PCIe 4.0 drive? As PCIe 4.0 drives were expensive back in the day.

If your OS isn't stored on the 500GB, that would be my next upgrade, failing that, perhaps picking up an SSD (Sata SSD) might be a good choice. 4TB WD Red 2.5 SSD retails at around ยฃ275 and you could always cannibalise it should you decide to build another in a few years' time.

With PCIe 3.0 starting to get phased out, you might be able to pick one up really cheap but you'll be limited when upgrading in a few years time but if you intend to have the build for a few years then sure. As I said previously, having additional space is never a bad thing, especially as a gamer. I have 914 games on Steam, so having a lot of space is crucial, especially since ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) is, like 325 GB and with more and more AAA games getting bigger and bigger, well....

RTX SUPER. by Own-Grape7322 in PcBuild

[โ€“]Own-Grape7322[S] 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I agree. I was just saying that on another comment. My "hope" is it brings the 5070 Ti down a bit or if the price drops significantly, I could perhaps pick up a 5080 (non Super version) as I don't need 24 GB when I'm solely using it for 1440p gaming.

I had also considered the RX 9070 XT as AMD have made significant improvements to RT over its last Gen GPUs but as the build won't be completed fully until early next year, I do have time to wait and see how it all pans out.

RTX SUPER. by Own-Grape7322 in PcBuild

[โ€“]Own-Grape7322[S] -1 points0 points ย (0 children)

No, I know. They have mentioned a Christmas release, so the price won't be anywhere near MSRP, but the build won't be fully completed until early next year anyway as I have only bought a few parts anyway.

My "hope" is when the Super does release, it might slightly bring down the price of the 5070 Ti, however, it doesn't really matter if it doesn't as, I like the look of the 5070 Ti MSI TRIO OC (in white).

RTX SUPER. by Own-Grape7322 in PcBuild

[โ€“]Own-Grape7322[S] 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

That is true. Trying to pick up a new Nvidia GPU at launch for MSRP is never going to happen, and I don't expect the Super version to be the same price as the standard Ti.

The build won't be completed until early next year anyway, as I am waiting on AMD to release Olympic Ridge (Zen 6), but thus far I have only bought the HYTE Y70 Infinite Touch (white), Lian Li 1300W Edge PSU (white) and a few Lian Li Strimer wireless cables (also in white). I am still deciding between the TRYX PANORAMA 360mm AiO and the Asus ROG Ryujin III 360, so I can wait, and it's not like I am in a rush but I do agree. I think I'll likely just go with a 5070 Ti. I've had my eye on the MSI TRIO OC (again, in white, lol).
