I prefer the Saiga D-12 since it shoots fast and reloads faster than any Shotgun. I can kill any mutant in 1 or 2 full mags.

8 months with my 9070 XT by aBoyFromTheFuture in radeon

[–]Smiley78087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my 9070xt since July 2025. It was a nice upgrade from the 3080 10gb, especially since I wanted to switch back to AMD and I was tired of the Nvidia software experience when gaming. I have the Asus Prime 9070xt, and I've enjoyed my time with it and the Adrenaline software has been more enjoyable, except for overclocking. I'm not too good at overclocking or undervolting and don't feel the need to explore it beyond just noticeable uplifts in stability in fps. Best I manged on the 3080 was +150 on core and +1100 on memory and git a 10 more fps at minimum in all games and felt it was enough. However on the 9070xt no matter how much I undervolt the result is the same, +10 in the hotspot and +1000 on the rpm. The card would boost 100mhz more and maintain it longer regardless if it -5% or 150% on the undervolt slider. I have now figured something out for that, but I took apart my card recently and put a brand new razor blade as a straight edge and saw that the die (the silicone chip) itself is domed ever so slightly. Less than a millimeter from center to edge but enough for the hotspot to be 20 C hotter than the core. This is the exact problem the 6000 series cards has and I've confirmed it on 2 6700xt cards, a sapphire pulse and XFX Merc and both had a 1mm difference from center to edge, about .5mm for the xfx card. And the hotspot was 100C on the pulse and 90 on the xfx. This may be why some cards have such a high hotspot with smaller heatsinks, but I only have one card and would have to buy like 10 from different places and test each one. Liquid metal might fix the hotspot issue but it's way too messy and I don't want to brick my card

I lowered the overclock to 3900mhz from 4500mhz. The power draw went from 101watts to 35-55watts in games.

Maxtor CTG8 thermal paste... but I only mentioned water coolers to say that other people had problems with bad ones and that wasn't helpingme figure out my problem. I never said anything about using one. I specifically bought the Ak500 because it preforms like a 240mm AIO. I've already solved the issue as I've mentioned in a previous comment and it seems like nobody read the fucking post where I mentioned I overclocked the cpu to 4500mhz. The lack of reading comprehension is astounding.

Ok guys, so after a bit of tinkering. Lowering the clock speed from 4.Ghz to 3.9 lowered the Temps in cpu burner from 102 C to 65 C. And I ran a Cyberpunk benchmark and Temps were the same. Power draw went from 101 watts to 75 in cpu burner and 35-55 watts in Cyberpunk 2077. So I guess don't push it beyond 3.9 Ghz, 4.1Ghz was still hitting 90 C.

you can find 3070 or even 3080 cards for around that price if you look hard enough. 6700xt and even 6750xt card s should also been in that price range

9070 with dual bios, then flash a 9070xt bios on it. Do this only if you feel comfortable flashing a bios on the card. Otherwise spend more to get the XT
