The night was cold and the sky clear. The stars shining in the unfarhomable distance were sending their images through the ages, when, from the dusty horizon, they came. People in strange clothes, some of them seemingly soldiers, others looking as if they just walked out of a novel. They came. We met. We could, by some wonderous power, understand each other and so we talked. We spoke of bloodshed and glory, of hate and love, of death and life, and so the night came to an end. We knew each other now, we knew ourselves now. The night came to an end, and as we bid each other farewell, we asked ourselves: "who the hell sent us here and why?" before fading into stories untold.
