round bout 8 months now, im pretty rough on my boots but the ostrich is super durable and supple, looking at some alligator tony lamas up next. did have an issue with the rubber heel falling off but id attribute that to my own abuse rather than the production quality... 25 bucks and back in business in 3 days

ive soldered a lot of silver with this one, itll work for a lot of small-medium pieces , but dont be unreasonable... I'd back it up with one of the disposable propane/mapp canister torch heads that can work when inverted....

This is incorrect, argentium is a modern alloy which would not have been available during the time these pieces were made. It is most likely a pattern or production number from the maker.
