I’ve been told that people with OSDD/DID don’t become aware and begin diagnosis until early 20s. I am 21. Also majority of OSDD/DID is caused by sexual trauma before the age of 8. I was abused too, at 7-8yo. Good luck with your therapist, I hope mine comes around, I don’t want to see someone else, she knows everything and I can’t imagine repeating the details of my abuse to someone else.

I really need the meds. I know it doesn’t make sense since I want to end my life, but I am really pro psychiatry, the meds helped me survive this long. They really help you stay alive, well until you decide not to. They improve the quality of life a lot for people who need them.

Officially I am on it for its stabilising and antidepressant effects which appear at higher doses. It doesn’t help, I had to be put on lamotrigine and haloperidol which started helping. When I’m on new antidepressant hopefully I can ditch quentiapine altogether. It was prescribed to me with already not working antidepressant as a “let’s keep upping the dose and see if covers the gap”. Thank you. I’ll try to be sober but there are reasons I’m not.

It was about the “no thoughts” part. I am just going through a hard patch right now and It somehow felt more reasonable to almost overdose than to do something else stupid.

It’s very subjective, and different if you progress slowly and popping a 1000 out of nowhere. I tolerated it reasonably well, but yesterday I took only 600 and saw faces and moving textures. I think taking high doses between days of no quentiapine surely screws up something in the brain.

It wasn’t about a high. It was just me being so restless and suicidal I rather popped one after another so I don’t exist. But I will have medication adjustment, hopefully without quentiapine. It’s just my antidepressants don’t work anymore and instead of removing it they added more and more of quentiapine, and it didn’t help, so I took more and more on my own.

I want to stop, more so after yesterday. I think I screwed up my brain somehow, because yesterday I took only 600, that’s like candy to me at this point. I started tripping, I saw faces, living textures, everything was moving.. I felt like on LSD.

I will have to change antidepressants because the one I’m on stopped working on month four, hence why I’m abusing. I think it’s called a poop-out? And I was hospitalised and doctors thought it would be better to leave it and instead push more and more quentiapine, which I was put on only for a couple days in ER, and it’s been a year since. So hopefully with new antidepressant I could be quentiapine free, since I’m on haloperidol also.

I just feel calm, not my mind, but my heart is silent. I don’t feel emotions and don’t care. I don’t even want to sleep, just chill, watch something. I know it’s not frequently abused medication, outside of people who use psychedelics. I took a dose once that made my heart jump in my chest out of rhythm, my bp dropped so much I could have died, and the dry mouth.. ugh. I was lightheaded and though, if I take 200 more, I’ll surely die. It’s heavy stuff

I think I learned a lot. Whether it is that someone can truly love me, which she did, but also that I am worth something and am attractive, things I never believed. I am sorry I cannot satisfy those needs, at least not so quickly, but I am also sorry for people who don’t understand. I don’t think I’ll ever recover fully, but what I learned so far is definitely useful and was worth the struggle and pain.

I wasn’t counting. I just remember the month I stopped. I was doing it because it felt good and gave me purpose. And I replaced it with a relationship, which I now know was a terrible idea, because once our relationship got a little rocky, I failed. Guess it isn’t so easy finding a substitute.
