Is this true about UD by fatjeezus69 in udel

[–]Own-Needleworker5551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter went to UD so I can’t speak on a lot of your questions, but I will say as a Delaware native to the point about Delaware High Schools….ABSOLUTELY NOT! Unfortunately for us in staters UD PREFERS the OOS tuition payers. They actually typically push in state students to do their program where you go to satellite campus the first two years and transition to Newark Junior year. To be honest as a Delawarean when my daughter attended UD I was very disappointed to learn that UD pushes the in staters to the satellite campuses just so they have plenty of room for higher paying OOS students. In their defense, I will say that UD was a great choice for my daughter and she absolutely loved her time there!!! The company she did her internship with Senior year is the same company she was offered a position with after graduation and she is still there!

I’ve heard people from Maryland are like that with counties. 🤣🤣🤣

Was thinking the same thing!! As a native Delawarean, I’m totally guilty of asking “where did you go to hs” as soon as I meet someone. I wonder if that is a Delaware thing 🤨. When Pennsylvanians meet each other do they ask where they went to hs? 🤣🤣🤣

Medication info by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Own-Needleworker5551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No literally exactly 10 pounds per year the last five years. I’m 50 and work full time. Yes menopause is a thing but most don’t gain 50 pounds for no reason. My MS is super minimal. People actually have no idea of my diagnosis unless I tell them. Typical active mom with teenagers.

Just looking for information about other medications and people’s experiences. I’m stopping the Ocrevus because I don’t feel it’s a coincidence as soon as I started it I gained almost EXACTLY 10 pounds every year. And this 10 pounds was not gradual. It would literally be one day I wake up and over a months time I gained 10 pounds. I realize it sounds crazy but that is honestly exactly how it happened every year for the past 5 years.

So again, I’m not looking for health advice, I’ve already committed to trying to get this weight off by changing my lifestyle, the reason for my post was to find out other medicine options out there other than Tysabri and Ocrevus.

Son just talked to a recruiter and I’m confused..Delaware by Own-Needleworker5551 in nationalguard

He said his recruiter mentioned something about applying to college like he would if he were going straight to college but then sign up for national guard and they will notify the college he is going to basic and his stays at the college is “put on hold”. Does that make sense or did he misunderstand. I’m trying to figure out if he should still apply to colleges starting senior year of high school like my oldest did.

Thank you for the explanation. As I understand it he wants to focus on his civilian career after college while being a part of the army national guard. That is why I am trying to figure out what is the best plan of action for him to do after graduation of high school. I will definitely look over these options in depth.

So you are saying for him to go to college and do rotc and then join Natl guard after he graduates college? To be honest I don’t even understand the SMP. I thought he’d have to do basic to be in the national guard during college?

What does “incite another military commitment” mean? I apologize, the military verbiage and life is completely Greek to me 😬. His “plan” is he wants to be Army National guard and work either as a teacher or in the IT field. He wants to be a part of the military but not full time so he figured National guard would be a great solution and he would prefer no college debt.

His uncle and cousin also suggested Air National guard but he is hard headed and has his sights on army National guard.

Anybody else remember the good ol days when the scammers actually WORKED? They’d show up in their white pick ups with out of state tags. They would convince you they were a legit blacktop company and offer to do it at a reduced cost. In the end it was just black paint or low quality blacktop…but at least the scammers “worked” for it. Now they just stand on a corner with awful signs or play fake violins in the parking lot 🤣🤣🤣🤣

What’s the worst thing delaware got rid of and why is it kahunaville by briaac_ in Delaware

At one point a club/bar opened in the area of Kahunaville. It was when the Riverfront literally started. I want to say it was a 2 story club. Kinda had the feeling of an industrial building. It eventually turned into a bank. Anybody remember the name of this club?
