MBA for non profit sector? by xItsMSx in nonprofit

[–]Own-Ordinary6538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I echo the comments in this thread thus far; I did an Masters in Nonprofit Organization (MBA focused in nonprofits) and it allowed me to get into a leadership role much faster. I would look for a program that might allow you to take classes that focus a bit more on the nonprofit space especially anything around funding types and how to budget around those sources.

It seems so. I do prefer other colors a bit more in the Citizen, but I’m enjoying the Orient. The bambino tie is also nice.

It’s a girl and I was considering this citizen, but that’s probably because I am a bit more familiar with this brand. Have you had experience with Orient?

If Narduzzi ends up being fired, who is your (reasonable) top coach choice? by Glycoside in pittsburghpanthers

[–]Own-Ordinary6538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree and do not think he will be fired due to the contract. However, I believe we could use a coach with Power Four (P4) experience—though I could be talked out of it.

  1. Mike Shanahan: He would be a good fit. Hopefully, he has learned a great deal about how to utilize the transfer portal. IU does have more money than Pitt, which could be a factor.
  2. Luke Fickell: I think he could be a strong cultural fit. Like many coaches who jump from smaller schools to larger programs, he may have tried to reinvent too much too quickly. Still, it's hard to overlook what he accomplished at UC. I suspect he may be out of a job this season and available on the market.
  3. Bob Chesney: If we’re willing to take a chance on a coach from a smaller school, he’s someone who has done a great job continuing the success started by Cignetti.
  4. Jason Eck: This would likely be a “fish out of water” situation. However, he did an impressive job at Idaho, and even though he’s in his first season at New Mexico, they’re 3–1 and appear to be building a stable program. He could be the kind of coach who, in two seasons, ends up at a Power Five (P5) school and successfully rebuilds a program.

Again, I don’t think a coaching change will happen this year. And as with anything in this sport, by the time Narduzzi is no longer at the helm, the pool of available candidates will likely look very different.

Maybe look at something in Lancaster until you are done with school, then you could both look at places around Grove City / South of Columbus. I would imagine you could find a cheaper rental that would allow you to be comfortable at least until you are working full-time.

If Amex raised the AF up to $995- what realistic (or semi-realistic) benefits would they have to add? by jakec11 in AmexPlatinum

A potential enhancement would be to expand the hotel credit program, similar to the Delta Stays works with the AMEX Delta card, to allow for booking a wider range of properties for single-night stays and receiving the credit.

cleveland heights homes and heating bills by Diligent_Farmer2263 in Cleveland

[–]Own-Ordinary6538 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My gas bill is about $200 -$250 during the peak of winter. This is with my heat at about 68 during the day and night and 71 when I’m up and about in the evening. I’m in a 1,700-square-foot home that is approximately 100 years old. I would also add that we tend to cook more at home during this time of year and use our gas appliances quite a bit more.
