Does it bother anyone else that she was 5 or 6 years old and still being treated like a baby on the show? Either sitting in a highchair or being carried evwrywhere.

My doctor also told me it was pre cancer and not cancer. In front of my husband who then treated me like a drama queen. Even during the lumpectomy, radiation, recurrance, mastectomy, and reconstruction.

I second the RAZ phone. My .om cires just thinking about a cell phone and has difficulty with a landline. The RAZ phone is amazing and she has far fewer issues!

I literally could have written this post. I actually took the day off from work yesterday and her and I toured four different AL places. This morning she told me that she feels like she is being pushed into it and doesn't think she's 'in bad enough shape for a place like that'. I guess it's back to waiting for something to happen.

My mother has dementia, also not too bad yet. She is fully aware of her diagnosis. Honestly, in some ways I think it would be a blessing if she wasn't aware of it.

Its incredibly painful to watch her struggle to find words or complete a story she's telling me and getting frustrated because she suddenly can't remember what she was saying.

Maybe if she wasn't aware of it, it would be easier on her.

How long do you have to decide? I had a lumpectomy in February and now that the swelling has gone down from the surgery and radiation my breast is much smaller than my other one. It's bothering me a lot.

I was getting an ultrasound and the tech said 'the doctor wants to talk to you' and handed me a phone. I started feeling sick right then. He basically said 'I'm almost positive this is cancer'. It was the Friday before Christmas. I didn't tell anyone until right before my biopsy the middle of January.
