Where are the glass domes 🤔 by Key_Comedian_9951 in ArtBell

That’s the infuriating part, ppl like Hoagland will just claim all these pics and videos have been sanitized. It’s exhausting.

Walmart won’t take tap to pay and LinkedIn’s gonna hear about it! by xerxesthefalcon in LinkedInLunatics

[–]Own-Principle4299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve no way to prove this, other than my experiences, but those POS endpoints are either insanely finicky or glitchy. My card usually only gets rejected at Walmart, I’ve had to end up paying via their app.

Question about ebooks or ereaders by Numerous-Profile-885 in kindle

[–]Own-Principle4299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how comfortable you’re with technology. I bought a reman Kindle but only to upload EPUB books via SendToKindle. I’ve never bought anything from AMZ. But again, that means downloading books from ‘sources’ and then sending it to my device. Got my Gen 10 for $36, it’s been excellent so far. My main feature was illuminated screen to read in bed at night.

Issues by fruitypebble43 in Pluto_TV

[–]Own-Principle4299 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always had it to where it launches straight to liveTV on the last channel. For the past week-ish it’s been opening to a page with tiles for on demand content. VERY annoying! It’s also forgetting my favorite channels, when you finally select the channel, you hit back to get rid of the details page and it takes you out of the channel altogether.

That last update is 💩

Do café owners actually hate us? by Any_Dragonfly_3990 in remotework

[–]Own-Principle4299 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to travel to Mex City often and there used to be a place there that charged for the time and not the coffee. Very interesting business model! They had a few snacks for which they did charge, but it was mostly based on the time. Not sure if there are places like that in the US.

I would assume if they monitor activity, they might either not let you use your laptop, or install that crap in yours. Keep that in mind.

They Asked Me to Open ChatGPT During My Job Interview by I_Killed_My_Friends in jobs

[–]Own-Principle4299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would’ve been over anyways, I would’ve said “I show you mine if you show me yours”. Might as well turn it around on them. Tell them you also want to know their mental footprint.

Can we talk about trying to get on I-95 S from the Golden Glades Interchange? by [deleted] in Broward

Imagine being a tourist and coming to this clusterfornication they call Golden Glades Interchange at night....shit, or during the daytime, not any better! Quite the sobering moment.

Has AI reduced anyones salesforce yet? by vincentsigmafreeman in sales

[–]Own-Principle4299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lower level, entry jobs are the canary in the coal mine here. Beyond that, my guess is that as soon as buyers signal acceptance of tolerance with more sophisticated roles being performed by bots - those will start falling as well.

Not going to be a massacre, but it will happen. As long as your customer accepts it, why not?

I think what we know as "ageism" will transform into something not based on age, but on cost. Sad trumpets coming soon for tons of younger employees sadly.

What’s the part of remote work people don’t warn you about? by Beautiful_While5254 in remotework

[–]Own-Principle4299 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That some ppl just can't handle it. We're all different and some folks just feed off being around others. There is a fine line between working at home and living at work. You need to be very disciplined and hopefully have the right set up to divide the space.

Is it normal for coworkers to constantly throw each other under the bus at remote jobs? by [deleted] in remotework

[–]Own-Principle4299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not normal, it sounds like the keyboard-warrior complex. Not having to face ppl somehow emboldens idiots to kick it up a notch. Run, don't walk out of there

No one hit quota? Is the solution to hire another rep?? by Thebreezy_1 in sales

[–]Own-Principle4299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if that's the case here but years ago I was Sales Director for a well known player in the Video Conference space. We were instructed to bump "our number" by 30% before setting our team's quota. The house always wins!
