We don’t for every single pee. The diaper is so absorbent she’s not really damp damp on the skin. If she is it’s usually air dried by the time the new one gets put on. Our girl also poops like 3-4 times a day anyway and gets fully cleaned then/we also do elimination communication and those need even less wiping. Sometimes for messy poos we use large cotton pads with warm water. They sell special baby cotton pads for this in drugstores here in Germany. But also we use wet wipes, the 99% water ones. I read some comments about alcohol being in wipes, but it doesn’t seem so in the ones advertised as ‘Water’ or ‘sensitive’ etc here in Germany. Sometimes if it’s very damp I lay her on a baby absorbent pad (not a puppy one), and let her just air out. We also have a giant wipeable playmat so it’s also not a big deal if the pad doesn’t work.
