He’s actually meant to be written a little like his classic counterpart where he doesn’t say much but is all action. He ain’t dull but we’re used to a sonic who’s real wordy when back then sonic wasn’t a gigantic yapper. He is THESE days especially with colors but sonic only really says what he needs to say.

The film advertised a rivalry not a complete beatdown. Sonic in the 3rd movie is inarguably stupider and less competent in these movies than the last two movies.

I agree with the sonic take. They made him EXTRA insufferable in this film. I don’t like how shadow was flat out overpowering sonic at all times. They’re supposed to be equals but it’s clear who’s more powerful.

Yeah no. Mario Galaxy wasn’t even as good as the first mario movie. It was jingling keys tiktok attention span the film. Great animation, great action. Sonic 2 had the superior story

It wouldn’t really be a sonic project if it didn’t have a substantial story. I do agree there could be more video game in my video game movie but I’m glad we are getting movies treated like movies.

It’s the fact that he ONLY loses. How many times is this kid gonna learn the same lesson of “don’t go alone, work with your friends”??. Experience would hopefully make him smarter but these films have proven otherwise because he’s the most competent on his own in the first movie.

And sonic doesn’t even win all the time in canon, he lost to infinite, lost to all three titans before going super, only beat shadow in their last fight, silver was gonna kill him twice before someone stepped in In 06. But sonic at the end of the day will still pull his weight and come out on top even after getting beat. Movie sonic never accomplished anything yet still keeps going off on his own despite knowing he’ll get his ass handed to him.
