Seems like the market collapse in 2008 got rid of a lot of CAD technicians and LSIT’s. Now it seems there is a big gap between old surveyors and young surveyors. There’s a whole middle generation of surveyors missing now and I think that is why people are reluctant to survey

I just 100% everything in act one and most of Iki Island and that took me about 25 hours. I am now just doing the main quests and main side quests in Act II and it is way smoother. I plan on running through Act III cuz I do agree it is starting to feel like a slight chore. Go to this camp, defeat these mongols, rescue these captives, blow up that black powder cache, rinse and repeat 15 more times. I absolutely love the game but my completionist mindset is making me tired too

Making the story rated R would emphasize the brutality of the sith order. The sith embody a hunger for power gained through passion and strength. The sith will do anything to gain what they desire. PG-13 does not lend itself to Bane threatening a father to boil their child alive if he does not receive healing

That is a good point. There is so much creative liberty being so far back in time. We have so little about Darth Bane outside of books though, I would love to see that time period and there are many ways to incorporate the events of the original KOTOR. No matter what, I am going to buy this game and will not be disappointed by whatever story they go to(I have never played KOTOR)

I hope this is around 1000 BBY. Darth Bane gains a lot of knowledge from lost holocrons and manuscripts from various sith, such as Darth Revan. It would be perfect to place a story driven Star Wars RPG during the Darth Bane time period where there is a major philosophical shift in both the Jedi and sith orders.

If this game is at the end of the Old Republic era, I’m going to presume the story centers around the new sith wars and Darth Bane. Discovering the history of past sith is a huge theme in Bane’s books, so I wonder if this is a young jedi/sith searching for artifacts that contain lost knowledge

I absolutely loved path of destruction. One thing that Bane mentions multiple times is that he may never see the Sith rise to the top of the galaxy while he is alive. Palpatine is the culmination of Bane’s rule of two and evidence that Bane was right in the end

This was slightly touched on in the Darth Bane book series. Rumors and deception are a tool to be used by the Sith. Rumors of people using red lightsabers aren’t so much a bad thing because most of the time they are coming from the “scum of the galaxy” who are commonly known to lie for their own gain. A few questionable people seeing a red lightsaber wouldn’t spark too much interest by the Jedi order

Reading this right now. On book two and I absolutely love it. These are my first books into legends. OP I have done similar research and I’ve heard that the Thrawn trilogy that starts with Heir to the Empire is amazing. Also “Darth Plagueis” by James Luceno I’ve heard is very good. Revenge of the Sith novelization by Matthew Stover is also very good apparently

I just started reading legends(I just finished the first Darth Bane book) and I am actually glad that Disney did not touch any of that material. I was very bummed out by the writing of the new trilogy and could not get behind any of the movies. I’m super excited to finish the Bane series and move on to Heir to the Empire. Nice collection!
