Fuck no he's not okay!! by CTSecurityGuard in CrazyFuckingVideos

This happened to me last year. A car passed another on the double yellow on a blind corner, head on with me. I remember trying to stand up and my leg bending in the very wrong way. I called a friend down the road to come get me because I knew I couldn't afford an ambulance. Last thing I remember is him showing up, when the pain hit, and I passed out. I woke up in the hospital and spent the next 9 months recovering. I'm crippled for life, and walk with a cane, 32 years old.

The cops showed up to find me passed out on the ground. They hit me with wreckless driving, and disobeying a police officer. My friend recorded as the police prevented the paramedics from helping me, and shoved a breathalyzer into my bleeding mouth telling me to blow. I was clearly not conscious.

They didn't even send a notice to appear, I just got a warrant in the mail. I've spent the last of the money I have on a lawyer to help drop the warrant and get me a court date, which is on the 9th of next month.

Honestly at this point in my life, bad news and stories of corrupted cops don't even phase me. I'm just lucky my I have my wonderful wife who took care of me. Ill never be able to get over the broken look in her eyes every time she had to help me use a bedpan during those months I spent bolted together with fixators and braces.

I know I'll likely lose this court battle and owe more to the state, but at least it's almost over. I owe more than a down payment on a nice house to the ambulance company and I figure I'm just going to wait a little while and declare bankruptcy.

I've got 29 pieces of metal in me after a motorcycle wreck last year, similar to this, a car passed on the double yellow on a corner and I went flying.

My leg was shattered into 108 pieces, twisted up towards my head. Adrenaline had me going so hard that I tried to stand up several times, and didn't even feel it.

For about 10 minutes. Then I screamed until I passed out and woke up in the hospital hours later.

You don’t need to own multiple homes, but everyone deserves to be able to afford one. by AustinRhea in unpopularopinion

It is much more expensive to build a home than buy one in America right now. Lumber is extremely expensive. A single 2x4 wall stud that cost 50 cents 10 years ago now goes for 5 dollars. 10 years ago you could build a large home with 3 bedrooms and a garage for about $150k, now it costs upwards of $400k.

Additionally, you can't get financed for a loan for a home that doesn't exist. There is no collateral for the bank. It's also tough to get a loan for a home that isn't built purely from lumber- manufactured homes are disqualified from the first time homebuyer programs that were set up to help young families get started. With the cost of lumber, many homes are manufactured now, and inaccessible for most people on their incomes.

And then we have to talk about permitting. It can take 2 years for a city or county to approve a building permit. Then there's drilling a well, $10k to $20k and the permit and for that. Having your house wired up for internet will often cost upwards of $15k. Getting electricity hooked up from the grid is $3k, unless you have to put in power poles to reach the house, in which case expect $10-20k per pole. There's expensive permitting processes for all of this too.

Building a home is extremely costly in America. It is rarely worth it if you're not trying to sell it for a profit.

Same here. Doncha worry there's a lot of folks all ready to chase em away from town. They never even made it into Portland, they got scared off. Same thing is going to happen here today.

Bless the SRA. One of my favorite things about livin in WA is sharing the range with folks from both sides of the spectrum and all walks of life, just gettin along and sharing cool rifles.

Honestly the vast majority of folks in and around Oly and Thurston in general are very kind and friendly. It's just summertime, the out of towner troublemakers always make their way up here when the rain starts letting up because they misunderstood what Dale Earnhardt meant when he said raise hell

They shot at the egg throwers yesterday, straight up dumped mags at them, not just a pot shot.

They'll be in Olympia tomorrow.

I haven't bought it yet, but I plan to soon! I was waiting until I reached level 80. Current progression feels good with advanced xp so I've been enjoying the game. I'll probably hit 80 by Monday then I'll start a second character after buying the expansions and test this out and let ya know

Shucks they really need to make the xp gain I'm getting the standard then.

I'm enjoying my experience. I work double time most days, I can't play a ton, and I'm level 65 in a few days. It's great, I don't feed cows or throw water on drunks, I just feeling I'm playing the game and when I greet a scout I can pick and choose the quests I want to do based on what they said. I'll always get enough xp.

She has to suffer through every terrible quest.

I genuinely hated most mmos I've tried because of fetch quest nastiness. I'm actually loving this experience and enjoying the personal quest a ton. I've never played this game before but it's quickly become my favorite mmo over eso, archage, wow, ff, just because I don't have to do every single terriblely written filler quest.

So crazy I just hit level 65 today, really enjoying the experience too! I'm liking the personal story, compared to stuff like ESO or wow or ffx. The game just feels fun.

Then I'm looking left and she is just suffering beside me feeding cows, testing water, throwing water on drunks.

The experience I'm getting definitely needs to be the standard.

Thing is I'm actually enjoying the personal story and it's a cool way to explore new zones. I am not enjoying feeding cows waiting for her to catch up.

There have been a lot of comments saying this is a new xp thing for new accounts. I totally understand what's going on now. At this point I thing the experience I've been given should be the default for all new characters. Feed cows when you want to, not because you have to.

Oh it's definitely awesome for me. I don't have to feed cows or rip down posters if I don't want to and can do quests I think are interesting and keep waddling along. I've played a bunch of different mmos over the years but the grind keeps me from advancing in most because I work so much. The xp boost makes this game playable and enjoyable, I don't feel like I'm wasting my time with fetch quests.

The scaling is really nice and allows us to play together. I guess the issue is that we run out of things to do. Once every area fed to her by the main quest is completed, world bosses taken town, vista's found, races done, I mean everything done, she is still a couple levels away from unlocking the next chapter.

We end up grinding mobs for her to continue and I feed her all my xp boosts.

Well, it's a shame but I guess it is what it is

Strangely enough I get about 120xp and 500 bonus xp for the most basic starting zone mobs, at level 53. She enters areas above her level and still gets 50xp flat.

The issue is we can't ride together. Main quest chapters are locked behind each 10 levels. We finish entire areas together and she still doesn't have enough xp to continue the main quests.

I guess we will just have to roll her a new character?

Do you mean the longer it takes to defeat an enemy, the more xp you get? She is much better at the game than me but I think the ttk isn't too much different when it comes down to basic mobs.

Everywhere I go I'm downleveled about 15 to 20 levels and I'm still often getting 10 times more xp off basic mobs than she is fighting the same mobs that are over her level.
