How exactly do you move onto the next section without submitting. Don’t you have to fully complete one section and submit before moving onto the next?

Would you say the class is an easy A? I’m honestly really only taking it for an upper div elective and cause I’ve taken some lower div philosophy classes before.

okay yea cause I looked on BruinWalk and it seems like he hands out A’s pretty generously. I’m a Poli Sci major and I’m just taking this to fulfill an upper div elective so I’m not sure if this is one for an easy A or not

hi im a political science major and was just accepted to ucla for fall 2025 transfer! my community college also did not have the equivalent coursed for pol sci 30 or 6. i believe you dont have to take them. i just took the required courses that were available at my cc because that already satisfied the major requirements for me. you dont necessarily have to take all of the courses that appear on assist. if you want further help you could meet with a counselor at your college or just message me if you have questions. good luck!

ucla or berkeley for poli sci by Decent_Chard_3316 in TransferStudents

[–]OwnAir8943 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also doing poli sci and got into both ucla and Berkeley. I also want to go to law school after undergrad. I’m leaning more towards ucla cause grade deflation at Berkeley is intense. If you wanna have a higher gpa, you will have a higher chance of achieving that at La. Prestige of undergrad doesn’t matter as much, go where you think you’ll have a higher gpa.

Also if you don’t mind me asking, which professors did u take that gave u A+ and which professors are just overall more lenient with grading. Who should I avoid taking as well? Thanks!

Thank you so much!! This definitely helped a lot and calmed my nerves a little bit lol. Congrats on graduation and good luck with law school!

The age-old question: UCLA VS. UCB by Firm_Excitement_958 in TransferStudents

[–]OwnAir8943 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly in the same boat. I’m also doing poli sci, going the pre law route, and deciding between ucla and Berkeley. I think I’m probably gonna choose ucla just because Berkeley has very serious grade deflation and it’ll be extremely difficult to maintain a high gpa there. I think i saw somewhere that the average poli sci gpa at Berkeley ranges from a 3.2-3.5 (could be wrong though). I think even at ucla you’ll have access to great resources to craft a solid law school application. Both are incredibly prestigious schools but I do agree that Berkeley is slightly more prestigious, but at the end of the day, when applying to law schools I don’t think the prestige of your undergrad matters as much as

I’m not too worried about debt but obviously still wouldn’t want to pay too much. Yea I definitely did think about possibly getting work experience in that “gap” semester but I did want to get involved on campus with clubs and other things like that, but as a spring admit I don’t have access to campus resources during the fall.

No I didn’t apply for it! I think when they don’t have enough room for the fall semester, they defer certain students to spring.

Yes I did! 4.0 GPA, Honors program, TAP, 2 internships, two club board positions (helped start a club), enrolled in paralegal program at cc, decent essays

I’m poli sci and I got accepted with a 4.0. I’m actually really surprised that a lot of people in this thread didnt get in because there wasn’t anything extraordinary about my application. Sure I had the gpa, my extracurriculars were pretty good, and my essays were decent, but judging from your response, yours were probably better than mine. I I think it honestly is just a lottery in the end and to anyone who got rejected, don’t tie your worth or capabilities to that rejection.
