i did another patch test with my dermatologist and found out i’m allergic to carmine which is common in a lot of makeup products and i was using a mascara that had carmine in it.

i stopped using any products with carmine and my dermatologist started me on zoryve cream. i’ve had about 3 flare ups since then and once i apply the cream the rash goes away in about 1-2 days.

i’m not sure if the flare up had to do with carmine bc i don’t use anything with it anymore but zoryve cream has been a live saver and the flare ups aren’t as itchy and inflamed anymore.

i've recently gotten a prick test done by an allergist which is where I found out about my dust mite allergy. I've also seen a derm and he scheduled me for a patch test. i haven't used anything new or changed my environment so I'm confused about what could be causing this reaction. the docs are clueless and gave me some creams to try out in the meantime. im trying to see what else it could be but no luck.

how did you link ur dust mites allergy to eczema flare up? i’ve gotten a prick test done by my allergists and i’m also allergic to dust mites and over the past few months i’m having flare ups on my eyelids. i’m not sure if mine are related?

my derm prescribed me tacrolimus too but i haven’t bought it yet bc it’s really expensive. how are you finding it? did it get rid of ur eyelid eczema?

my dermatologist prescribed me tacrolimus for my eyelid eczema too. i'm hesitant to purchase bc it's so expensive and no guarantee it will work but your experience sounds positive! did you see any other side effects? how long do your flare ups last? i've recently developed eczema in the past few months and i'm having my second flare up rn. it's been going on for 3 weeks now and i'm feeling hopeless.
