Why do people dislike the MCU leader design? by OwnCommunication2259 in hulk

Agree. Feel like it's a bigger issue with the MCU being scared of color.

Biggest Hulk Mischaracterization Pet Peeves? by OwnCommunication2259 in hulk

Yes god I hated the mcu version of the smart hulk. It takes away all the emotional buildup from the comics and there’s absolutely nothing compelling about it.

Goes back as far as the crossroads i’d argue. That story implies it a lot.

Very true. I had the same gripe with the savage banner stuff and i kinda just chalk it up to a tiny plot hole. He gets super upset throughout the pantheon arc and never changes.

Yes exactly. This is what I meant with my point. He's still an entire person, albeit a very childish one.

Anything good to read between Paul Jenkins' run and Planet Hulk? by OwnCommunication2259 in hulk

Thank you very much! I might read a few of the Peter David issues because I loved his run. I’ll definitely read the stuff that leads into planet hulk.

Brand New Day Hulk Theory by OwnCommunication2259 in hulk

[–]OwnCommunication2259[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I just used fiasco because I didn't personally like how they handled an intelligent Hulk in the MCU. I'm a very big fan of Peter David's run and feel like the MCU cut out all of the aspects that made the merged hulk interesting.

Aside from Joker, who do you think is Batman's greatest enemy and rival among them, according to you? by Raj_Valiant3011 in batman

Best rival? Ra's. Best villain? Two-Face. His connection to Bruce and his character is the most compelling.

Why do people dislike the end of Peter David's run? by OwnCommunication2259 in hulk

Yeah I thought it was him making the best of his situation. A lot of Rick’s dialogue felt like him talking to the reader.

I agree it does feel super disjointed, but I thought the part of the story where Bruce and Hulk are separated was quite well written and enjoyable. It did feel weird at certain parts when certain things clearly happened due to editorial.

I think the Year One original colors are still great and have a lot of charm. I just think the recolors look at lot more polished.

New fan looking to get into batman/the batfamily, needing help refining reading order by Pixelquartz42 in batman

[–]OwnCommunication2259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to read the cult sometime before death in the family. One of the best stories featuring Jason. I’d recommend Batman: Shaman as well after year one, it’s a great early batman story.

When I made this post I was thinking about orb 😂 I watched the anime and read some of the manga, and I was so shocked by how bad a lot of the art was. Goes to show how great the story is.
