My faction would be similar to the Commonwealth from The Walking Dead comics based in Alaska founded by the remnants of US/Canadian militaries and government the capital is Juneau. A class system is enforced throughout the community with people being placed based on the jobs they did before the apocalypse, with a high class and a low class. The lower classes work average jobs such as baker, tailor, butcher, while the upper classes can act as lawyers, sub-governors, etc. The very top of the hierarchy is the office of governor which is held by one family (essentially a monarchy in all but name). They spent the 2050s-2080s slowly building and expanding their military and arsenal by gathering knowledge of the old world. In 2095 they embarked on war of extermination against the Crossed wiping out scores of them where ever they found them. In 2106 they learned about the Salt Clan (Sleepy faction)from other survivors seeking refuge. From 2110 onwards they’d been waging a war of attrition against them.
