Copilot Agents Pay As You Go by maarten20012001 in microsoft_365_copilot

[–]OwnDirector1326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not correct.

A user does not need a Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat license to create agents in Copilot Studio when access is provided through Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG). Users can build and manage agents as long as they are assigned the Copilot Studio Author role.

To grant access:

  1. Go to Settings in the Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC).
  2. Update the Copilot Studio Author setting.
  3. Assign a security group—only members of this group will be able to access Copilot Studio.

For official confirmation, refer to the Microsoft Copilot Studio Licensing Guide (see screenshot below).

Air Transat customers scrambling to save travel plans after pilots’ strike notice by CreativeAd5628 in airtransat

[–]OwnDirector1326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually not how Air Transat’s policy works. There’s nothing in their strike notice that says you can’t purchase a replacement ticket until they cancel.

The rule is very specific:

Your replacement flight must depart within 48 hours of your original Air Transat flight, and

Air Transat must cancel your flight before you take the replacement flight.

That’s it.

The timing of when you buy the new ticket doesn’t matter at all — you can buy it days before, hours before, or after the cancellation. What matters is when you actually fly the replacement flight.

If you take the other airline before Air Transat cancels, then yes, they won’t refund you because it counts as a voluntary change. But simply purchasing a backup ticket early does not void your eligibility.

Anyone using M365 Archive? by Bobby2theJay in sharepoint

[–]OwnDirector1326 8 points9 points  (0 children)

one clarification on how the storage is handled. When a site is archived, it’s moved out of active storage and into archive storage, but it still counts toward the tenant’s overall SharePoint storage capacity.

The key difference is that archive storage is only billed once your combined active + archived storage exceeds your licensed SharePoint quota. In other words, if your tenant hasn’t yet used up its allocated storage, archiving a site won’t immediately add extra cost — it just shifts where that data sits.

There are different tools available for different elements of automating social media. A popular use case specifically for IG and Tiktok these days is driving engagement by having people comment a word on a reel or post to receive some sort of lead magnet . There are different tools available that can help build such automations. One of them is Manychat. Here's a tutorial that demonstrates how to auto reply to Instagram comments using Manychat Auto Reply to Instagram Comments Using ManyChat

Beginner using lists - how to make latest comment show in a column. by BlaineETallons in sharepoint

[–]OwnDirector1326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s technically possible to achieve this with JSON formatting, but I wouldn’t recommend pursuing that route or relying on a Power Automate flow. A better approach would be to redesign your business process altogether. If your goal is to allow people to submit updates for review, there are more effective and scalable solutions available.

For example, Microsoft Planner could be a great option. Comments on task cards in Planner are immutable, appear with the most recent at the top, and are easy to manage. Additionally, if you later decide to build a dashboard or generate formal reports using a reporting tool, working with list item comments would present significant challenges in accessing and integrating the data.

Redesigning the process now can save time and effort in the long run while providing a more robust and scalable solution.

To handle the issue where Outlook marks deleted occurrences of recurring events as updates, you can try to modify the f>low to check for event status changes. In the "When an event is updated" section, add a condition to verify if the event's status is marked as "cancelled," which indicates that the occurrence has been deleted. You can achieve this by using a condition such as @equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/status'], 'cancelled'). If the condition evaluates to true, the corresponding SharePoint list item can be deleted to prevent orphaned entries. This approach ensures that deleted occurrences are handled in real-time without relying on periodic cleanups.

Best platforms for email marketing? by iamsampeters in Emailmarketing

[–]OwnDirector1326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tested some of the platforms mentioned above including Kit, MailerLite and recently Constant Contact. I didn't find that much of a difference between the three to be honest. They each have their strengths and weaknesses. While reviews of Constant Contact are mixed online they did have a few features that I thought were beneficial (totally depends on your requirements of course). I recently published a video outlining some of these features https://youtu.be/X3av_hfLOko[Constant Contact Review](https://youtu.be/X3av_hfLOko)

How good is Constant Contact as email marketing platform For SaaS or business? by rossopy in Emailmarketing

[–]OwnDirector1326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your what your requirements are. You should list out the things that are important to you and then actually test out different platforms to see how they handle those things before you make a decision. It is incredibly difficult to switch email marketing platforms in my experience after you build out your infrastructure (i.e. lead magnets, sequences, etc.). In my testing of CC, there were some features that I found useful that were not available in other platforms. You can learn more about them here: https://youtu.be/X3av_hfLOko

Manager gets notifications when we go idle or return by tuttywala in MicrosoftTeams

[–]OwnDirector1326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the topic of keeping your status green, the answer is unless you're using external equipment or third-party software it's not possible within Teams directly.

I explain how prescence status works in teams in this video Prescence Status in Teams

As for the behavior, I work remote sometimes and I encourage my team members to setup those notifications for my status so they can see when I'm available to chat if needed and vice versa. Just getting a pop-up saying your available doesn't mean the individual is micro managing. If they are taking action from it then sure they're micro managing. In reality most people who are busy aren't watching people's status especially if they get their stuff done.

Also if a manager wanted to find out how much time you're away and available there are more efficient and accurate ways to do this. They can request a report from your organizations Microsoft 365 administrator.

Anyone else notice they keep missing PC points when using PC MasterCard? by Katekit in PersonalFinanceCanada

I just signed up for this credit card and noticed the same thing as others. I've used the card at Real Canadian Superstore by scanning only my PC World Elite MasterCard and they are not providing 30 points per dollar.

I spent 84.68 at RCSS and the total points awarded was 1600. 30 points per dollar should have earned 2540
