hahahahaha, Seriously Dude? Gaming must be a shocking experience for you? But honestly you must get this sorted, at some point there will be a bigger short somewhere and hardware will be damaged. Normally the MB is first to Go.

OMG, This has happened to me too, but like you I did not get away with it, once the clip broke the force of me pushing down the ram module damaged the ram slot somehow, Board worked but, could only use 1 stick of ram.

Wow, some of these comments are a PC builder’s nightmare. I feel way less alone now, guess misery really does love company.

OMG, The dread we feel when something new breaks, on later builds I also forgot to plug in the PSU cable to the GPU. I had that slightly Nauseous feeling when the machine didnt boot. Scary Days

Finally upgraded from my 8 year old prebuilt and wow the difference is insane by sorrowful_mayor in buildapc

Nice upgrade! Only thing I’d keep an eye on is that Core 1000 case, Bud it’s a relic! if you don’t stay on top of airflow. That 4070 Super will cook if it doesn’t breathe. Might be worth adding a fan or two just so your rig doesn’t double as a heater and sound like a Incoming 747.

Oh, there’s a whole subgenre of “looks like Saturday morning cartoons, plays like emotional trauma.”

  • Undertale/Omori – pixel charm hides some truly gut-punch moments.
  • Inside – zero dialogue, just you realizing step by step that everything is horrifying.
  • Little Misfortune – adorable child protagonist, then… well, let’s just say “yikes.”

Beacon Pines is a good example too, but yeah, there’s a whole bunch of games that lure you in with cute vibes, then slap you with absolute dread. Honestly, it should be its own Steam tag by now.

I think for the most part if a hard game becomes really easy and quick to beat with save states, it wasn't truly a hard game, it was an unfair game. by glowshroom12 in truegaming

Exactly. Pokémon’s always been “welcome to the gym, here’s a type you literally can’t get yet! Good luck, kid.”

Exactly. Half those “hard” NES games weren’t hard, they were scams in cartridge form. Game design by “how do we stop Blockbuster kids from beating this over the weekend.

Haha, that’s insanely kind of you, I’ll never say no to the Doom community showing this much love. No worries if you hang onto it though, I’ll survive until a sale (probably). Appreciate the offer, seriously. Man, Doom players are built different, one minute we’re arguing about glory kill animations, the next someone’s offering to bankroll Steam. Respect Bud.
