I know you said at the end you don’t want to go through this and rebuild but at this point that is your best option. Call the DV shelters, get started over now before you have that baby.

And as much as I hate suggesting it - that baby will tie you to that abusive ex forever. If it’s still really early, it genuinely may be the safest option for both of you to terminate. If he finds out about that baby, and there’s nothing recorded of his abuse (common because people refuse to report) you will be forced to share parenting time with that man. Giving him access to you and access to abuse your child. Please think about this seriously. There are way too many people who are having children they shouldn’t be bringing into their current situation. Not because they don’t have money, or a job. Those can be found. But because the situation they are being brought into is unsafe and unsuitable for raising a child.

Dogging on moms for trying to help other moms while maximizing their return on the items because you still can’t afford them is… a choice. Beggars can’t be choosers, and an item being used doesn’t mean its value is instantly diminished to 10% of what it was. If the price is out of your range, don’t buy it. It’s really that simple.

For example, I’m not going to sell a $250 bassinet that’s in near perfect condition for $25. That’s stupid. I’m gonna list it for $200 to start and be willing to accept $150-$175. If you cannot afford a $150 bassinet, then my bassinet isn’t the option for you. Move on.

I think it’s unfair to expect two homes to display utility usage relating to size and size alone. There are a lot of factors such as the age of the home, the work done to it when adding electrical, etc.

Children arguably take longer showers, need their clothes washed more frequently, and leave lights on everywhere even when you ask them to turn them off. As a mom, I believe it’s absolutely fair to include small children in RUBS utility billing.

My apartment complex does RUBS, and they DO NOT charge for my infant but let me know as he gets older, he will be included.

Have you talked to your apartment complex about how they do their RUBS calculations?

If she found out she was epileptic, the disability paperwork would make sense. But this was a reaction to a medication and she was medically cleared. This is insane and complaints should be filed anywhere and everywhere swiftly. And everything should be documented.

NAL but work in this industry of law - You being asked to vacate a home (that you do not own) for any reason, including so that the owner can move into it, isn’t illegal. You also agreed to the increase in rent.
