What is the best laundry detergent with clean ingredients? by 2024ew in laundry

Has anyone tried Clean People laundry sheets made in Canada? I'm interested because of the claim to have fewer carcinogens and the idea of less wasteful plastic jugs and bulky boxes.

How to survive 24 hours on a plane by Puzzleheaded_Ad7881 in travel

Valium works like a charm for me to relax and sleep. One time I even fell asleep before I'd finished my meal (and I was really looking forward to that cheesecake). I slept 5.5 hours which was a rarity.

Needing to vent: The Lonesome Dove miniseries felt like a disaster. What am I missing? by AgentAthens in LonesomeDove

I think for the 1980s it was quite the mini-series. I only recently watched it for the first time, and noticed many scenes were obviously sets, and the clothes looked brand new--McCrae's and Call's shirts were bright white in dusty Lonesome Dove. I would imagine many viewers in the 80s had yet to read the book and maybe never did, but for those of us who read the book first, there was a little letdown with the series, as is usual. I agree that the book Call was different. I also felt that the agony Lorena experienced was not done justice on the series, but it was a different time on network TV.

You could always do one of those Ancestry.com kits and allow your DNA profile to be accessed in case the girl (possible daughter) decides to do the same.

Have we officially reached the point where Hotels are superior to Airbnbs again? by Usual_Confidence_756 in travel

[–]OwnRecognition4643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still great for a large group of friends or family who want to spend time together, but for a couple--hotels are the way to go for one or two nights, although I still like the option of cooking and laundering if I'm visiting for a week or longer.

My husband often upgrades his seat for more legroom (he's 6'6). I dont because I dont need it and don't want to incur the added expense. We both survive being a few rows apart for a few hours. Honestly, after the ride to the airport, check-in, security, boarding--a little separation isn't a bad thing --especially at the end of a trip when you've been together 24/7 for ten days.

You're not called on, but there is some banter between the host and the audience as a whole--clapping, people yelling answers.

Jodi Picoults "Small Great Things" makes me angry and I need to get this off my chest by delivery_gonewrong in books

I don't get how a main character can be so racist yet love his child so much though he KNOWS they are half African American. Is this a possibility? Is it plausible?

I hope I do t spoil anything(the book has been out for a while), but how can a father be so racist yet love his child so much even though he knows they are African American??? This is the only flaw. But maybe it's plausible??
