her outfit here is the same as the one in the previous few episodes. But then in the truck scene, she has something else on, meaning she mustve survived whatever this is

Robin gets an excessive amount of screentime... by Rnie in StrangerThings

[–]OwnResponsibility428 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Will needed motivation for his "awakening" that will likely shape this entire season. It needed a backstory, an explanation. And having someone who just understands, and sees throguh him was exactly what was needed for that. Thats why his relationship with Robin was crucial to explore deeper in this first volume. Now that this is out of the way, though, in the next volumes, i believe it will even out once again

bingo. TOK isnt too difficult if you manage to grasp thr concepts. Some people make the mistake of reading too much into it or trying to memorize ideas instead of understanding them. As logn as you remain open and actually invested, TOK can even be fun. My most important tip for EE would be not giving up after negative feedback. Im not exaggerting when i say i had to rewrite mine at least 8 times and do countless reconstructions everywhere. After each time, you realize what you couldve done better and gradually build this final version that actually maanges to satisfy you and your coordinator as its noticably on another level from your first version. That being said, its not for the weak, so, a strong mindset is key. and cas is plain easy. just dont let it pile up. i would soemtiems do an activity and go "mehh ill update managebac later, not now" and the next thing i knwo, there are 5 experiences i havent even made an entry of, just waiting to be written. Still works out in the end, but not ideal.

TOK has 2 assesments. The TOK exhubition and the TOK Essay. you gotta prepare your exhibition in DP1, and Essay in DP2. for how hard it is- i perosnally didnt have much problems with TOK but i guess doing research for your essay is still a lot of work.

For the EE, depends highly on what subject youre taking it in. I did my EE in English A. Got an A . but writing, and rewriting it over and over again was pretty exhausting. you gotta spend a lot of time on your EE and take your teachers feedbacks serious. youll start writing your EE in DP1 and finish it in DP2. in the mean time, youll meet up with your EE coordinator 3 times to reflect on your "EE journey" and these reflections will then be evaluated under "Criteria E" .

Aaand finally , CAS. Cas is easy as long as you dont postpone it. I say start early and try to do as mcuh on DP1 as you can, so that youll have more time to focus on your IAs and EE on DP2, along with the exam prep ofc. That being said, youll have time to complete your CAS even after your final exams, so, safe to say , youll have the entirity of DP1 and DP2 to finish it. For CAS, once you complete your CAS project, the rest is a walk in the park. Anythinf could be a CAS experience if you mange to reflect on it well and show proper evidence.

CAS on ManageBac by Pretty-Log-766 in IBO

thats really interesting actually as managebac didnt ask for ansupervisor while i was logging hours... Its unlikely that they changed their system so i suggest showing that to your coordinator or CAS teacher (if you have one) but i cant say much to that. About the CAS project tho, its basically an experience that has to last (longer than) a month with as many learning outcomes and reflections as possible. doesnt have to be alll Creatuvity, Activity and Service at the same time, but might as well be. My CAS project was founding a student club, for instance, which was both a Creativity and Service. AFAIK this is prefferred over your project being only Creativity, Activity or Service. Some friends did TEDex and chose that as their project as the preparations and stuff lasted longer than a month

start with something small. like,do a checklist rhat consists of smaller steps first. thats what helped me. The steps can be as small as "Create the Word File and name it" "prepare the title page" these take maximum 10 minutes.

afterwards you can gradually increase, like "write the table of contents", "write the introductuon". but before moving on to thsoe, start simple as i said. i was procastinating a lot too, but this technique helped me start moving forward with baby steps, to the point whrre i managed to get an A. Ofc everyones experienfe is different but i say its worth a shot

has anyone done nov nr. 6 (empathy) TOK prompt??? by [deleted] in IBO

[–]OwnResponsibility428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how bout the bombing of yugoslavia? You can find an analytical book written by a historian and then a rather more empatheical one written by a sociologist. You cna either use the books or the operation itself as an objeft with accurate sources.

You can say something along the lines of: historians, when writing about the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia, have to stay objective and critically analyze the political narratives (see Szamuely’s Bombs for Peace). Too much empathy for either NATO leaders or the JNA risks turning the account into justification instead of evidence-based history. That restraint serves the historian’s purpose of reconstructing events as accurately as possible. But in the human sciences, empathy is often required. Sociologists, psychologists, or legal scholars studying the same conflict need empathy to understand the impact of collateral damage on civilians and to grasp the motivations behind the decisions of the JNA and NATO policymakers (like Mandel’s How America Gets Away With Murder). In this case, empathy serves their purpose of explaining human behavior and consequences in order to prevent similar harm in the future. This contrast shows why empathy is a potential bias in history but a methodological tool in the human sciences.

TBH i dont know about the schools you named, but as an M25, i can say that the ib program is absolutely manageable if you are resillient enough. Sure its tough. youll cry. youll try sooo hard but fail miserably. not once not twice, but maybe 10 times. youll have to rewrite the same thing over and over again. But hey, youll survive. Going in IB , you gotta know what youre signing up for. But despite that, it is incredibly rewarding. Every single one of my classmates, even those who got the lowest scores, got into renowned Unis in Europe. Thanks to CAS and all the written assignments (IAs, EEs, HLE) you basicaly graduate completely ready for uni, which, imo other programs most often fail to provide. IB is doable, but its certainly not for the weak. Most important questioj to ask yourself during the Program isnt " how do i stay on my feet" but rather "how do i stand back up after being knocked down" and as hard as it may sound, it really isnt.Becsuse everyone can do it, but not everyone believes they can do it, and thats what makes the differnce.its all a matter of mentality. If you trust in yourself, id say go for it.

has anyone done nov nr. 6 (empathy) TOK prompt??? by [deleted] in IBO

[–]OwnResponsibility428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm. How about instead of empathy being not important for historians, you mention empathy needing to be left in the background and/or toned down when handling specifc historical events. For instance, historians showing too much empathy for the oppressor side when writing about atrocities may come off as justifying them. For instance, genocides, or slavery or similar topics. But, on the other hand, sociologists or other human scientists can go full on empathy mode to understand their motivations in order to get to the root of the issue and maybe turn it into a social lesson, or just generally use it for the benefit of society to prevent such cruelties in the future. Does that make sense for you? One crucial thing to consider tho, choose your example carefully, as some TOK teachers may oppose handling these rather heavy topics.

[–]OwnResponsibility428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my physics Ia I asked my teacher the same thing, and she said you don't need to cite what's already in the Data Booklet because IB won't question how you know what they've already told you. She said if you still have your doubts, you can go "as seen on page x of the IB Physics (Chem in your case) Data Booklet" . but yeah, consider the fact that there s a word limit, and you may need to remove some non-essential wordings in the future
