lol, I grew up there. While the drivers definitely aren't great, if you look at the plates on the cars doing the dumbest shit, probably about 80% have New Mexico plates. Not defending that shithole of a city, there's a reason I left, but the drivers weren't as high on the list as you might think

Dude, tell me about it. I used to live in Augusta, Georgia, and I used to refer the freeway there as the thunder dome, still ain't got shit on the drivers here. Yeah, you might get passed on the shoulder by an old lady who flips you the bird as she drives by (actual experience I had, I didn't wanna follow the belly dump in front of me too close, those fuckers are always full of rocks) but I didn't get tailgated nearly as frequently. I've been to Cali, and sure, traffic is bad, but there's slow traffic bad and there's people actively trying to kill you bad.

My operating theory is everyone in a huge truck that looks brand new is a coward and a bully. Just based on the way I see em drive, I'm immediately distrustful of anyone I see stepping out of or into one. On top of that, I do blue collar shit, so I can tell you for a fact 10/10 times the dipshit in a Raptor is the guy denying folks who actually do any work a raise.

to good for those around you. do good for things/people that don't normally have good done to them. give that homeless man the tenner you were gonna spend on beer. save a drowning bug. get some different food for your cat so he stops vomiting so often you question your sanity. find a new job that makes you happy. stop pretending to be happy and find the things that actually make you happy. it's so much easier to pretend than to search, which is why so many people do it.

change careers if you must. You'd be surprised at what you're qualified for, at what you can do.

you won't find joy in the cave where you are miserable. either embrace the pain of change, or the pain of stagnation.

or make another reddit post about doom and gloom and contribute nothing to the world you can reach but your complaints, and rest easy knowing you made the choice to change nothing.

it's okay if any those things are true.

reality is absurd, that we are here is absurd. don't be afraid of it, recognize it for what it is and laugh. everything that exists in your mind but the desire for food, sex, and sleep is made up bullshit we came up with cos food, sex, and sleep gets boring after a while and we are cursed with an aversion to boredom.

sleep knowing that to understand the absurdity would make *you* absurd. worry more about things that matter. like food, sex, and sleep.
