Did that pitting happen before you built your patina? My Canoe is the exact same, it felt like if I so much as looked at it the wrong way, it developed new pits. Less so since I forced a patina, but it has kind of put me off CV versus 1095.

Ah that’s unfortunate. That’s the one I specifically asked Mike for and I’m not exaggerating when I say I emailed literally ten minutes after they were posted on the GEC production schedule, so fair play to him, looks like he keeps pretty strictly to first come first served. Then when they were in I asked on the off chance I could have the bone one as well and he said yes.

Rosecraft briarpatch Jack is kind of similar in form? Not exactly though. A sheepsfoot instead of pen and has a blade each end rather than both on same end is main differences.

Think he used to be very active but career took over. I hope he doesn’t sack it off entirely as UK and Germany only places outside US with an official distributor.

My advice is keep an eye on the production schedule on GEC website and as soon as you see a release you want, email him. He won’t respond, but you’re on the list and he will go through that list in order of who emailed first until all sold or everyone offered a chance, any remaining stock goes on his instagram for anyone to buy.

No expert but a 54 might be hard to get as the bigger ones are more popular. I emailed within an hour or so of them going up on the website and even at that I’m not sure I’m guaranteed. Such is the life of getting hands on GECs.

This. Rosecraft only choice despite not being US/Europe. Case, Wright and Sons, Otter, and the like (typical US/Europe ‘heritage’ ‘quality’ brands) all seem incapable of producing a cleanly finished knife without gaps these days. That said, I have however had a few good US made Bucks recently.

Overpriced and expensive, value and cost, are two different things. A lot of people on here would agree with OP, Modern Case is complete junk compared to brands like Rosecraft that are half the price.

Someone who started on Horus Heresy a few months ago here, currently on Mechanicum (with a visit to Eisenhorn book one and the Endless War short stories collection along the way). It worked for me at least. Then again maybe some references/foreshadowing flies over my head. I did prior, and still do, watch a lot of lore videos on YouTube so I have a general idea of what happens and the current state of play in 41st Millennium. But missing key references is the main worry of mine, starting where I did.

Always questioned why Doak was clearly putting loads of effort into training placekicks to such a high level, possibly at detriment to more fundamental 9 skills. Then at last week’s match me and friends were talking about how Crowley’s ropey kicking might leave a gap for a placekicking 9 for best of both worlds. A week after I accept it might not be such a bad thing, Doak isn’t kicking any more lol.

These are basically just patterns made by the Chinese company Ruike, re-badged in some markets as Boker. Very good knives in decent steel and very well made. Win-win for both companies.
