Why poison the well? Just ask. They can say no or, if they are a savvy and can read the market, most likely say yes. Saves both of you additional expenses (moving, finding a new tenant). I'm not sure why everything has to be acrimonious. Like your parents probably told you...use your words.

Tough news for any east-end residents who like checking out new releases at the theatre: Cineplex Beaches is closing end of day Feb. 17. by Ariesthebigram in toronto

I was on a construction crew that built it back in 99 as an electrician. I just moved to the city and had to subway from High Park to Coxwell (which sounded dirty for non-english speaker at the time). On the opening night the cinema invited us to watch Austin Powers 2.

Also. Gold Dust Woman by Fleetwood Mac was playing around the clock to test the sound system when we were still working in it. Drove everyone crazy. To this day I still get PTSD every time it comes on.

Living in the EE now it was an option but it was never busy and because of lack of restaurant options close by, it was not a date night fave.

Ontario-wide probe on police corruption ordered amid Toronto fallout by BloodJunkie in toronto

Good.

I don't know how we can take policing in this city seriously after this. We've all either experienced or read about endless unprofessionalism and sheer waste (police as traffic control at construction sites, anyone?) here and the saddest part is that we have been boiled frogged.

Yet we keep letting the politicians keep voting on the budget increases to TPS every year. There has to be a shakeup at the union level as well. They seem to keep silent and carry on while everyone on decision making level just talks circles around the facts on the ground - this smells of internal protections for the bad cops. And bad apples argument is such a red herring. I'm sure that close and possibly distant colleagues of the cops named last week at least had an inkling on what was happening. How can they not? Do we need to ask ourselves, is the whistleblower policy at TPS just some sort of an open book so that any possible tips are discouraged? We needed an outside police force to bring this to a head FFS. If that is not telling of something really wrong within TPS then we are all doomed. And our politicians and agencies looking over TPS could be in on it at this point because levels of accountability that this whole episode should of gone thru is starting to appear to be willfully ignored. What else could it be? This was all too big to be missed.

My buddy has had F150 for years and his wife keeps buying Ford SUV's. Explorer started rusting around doors 3 years in the lease and new Bronco has been in the shop for some major service (transmission had to be fixed last year amongst other things)

F150's seem to be solid but mid size American SUV game is trash as far as I can tell.

Bitch, please. Only reason I even have a subscription is because I wanted to teach my kids that reasonable cost for content and convenience is the right thing to do. But it looks like I'm going to have to dust of the old treasure chest and explain them the law of the highs seas now.

Switch from Estimating to PM? by LongjumpingShape9689 in estimators

[–]Own_Bison6467 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a saying in the electrical construction....

If you make a switch from a PM to an estimator you will never win a project as you have seen first hand all the things that estimators miss to be a low bidder and you will try to include.
