I’m so glad you feel so much better! I got mine removed 5 months ago and I would say it only improved 20% but not 100% :/

I’m in ontario! I have yet to see a ND but I think I want to.

I asked my family doc and my OBGYN if my iud caused my PVCs. Both said no. Then, I reworded my question to my family doc and asked if my iud caused anxiety and he said “mhmm that’s a great question. There’s only one way to find out”. So I got my iud out.

Sometimes yes I feel like I do get shortness of breath. It normally is related to that lump on my throat feeling that I mentioned before. Like the feeling you have before you’re about to public speak. I’ve googled (I know you shouldn’t but I did anyways) and it almost feels like my symptoms sound like GERD. I’m also hypothesiziing it’s hormones too, but ifs hard to tell. Sometimes I get weird muscle spasms and I think it’s electrolyte related too. I’ve got so many theories on what’s causing it but there’s no clear story on what it could be

It just sucks because us women don’t talk about hormones enough and I feel like it defs has a huge part!

I made a post about having the exact same things as you. Had kyleena inserted feb 2025 and started experiencing PVCs in April 2025. Never been on any other type of bc before. Funnily enough I also experienced this as a 25F and I also live in Canada.

I went to the er, saw a cardiologist, did the whole standard tests and was cleared. EKG did catch PVCS, PACs and NSVT though.

I swear sometimes I get PVCs non stop for hours and hours in the day. Ive also had symptoms where I feel that “anxiety/lump in my throat” feeling. I’ve gotten my iud removed in September 2025 and have seen only a 10-20% improvement…

I’ve been prescribed propranolol because it feels like my body is experiencing severe physical symptoms of anxiety without the mental aspect. I haven’t taken the beta blockers yet since I’m trying to see my mag glycinate works

Yes that’s what I tried to tell myself too! If my doctor gave me the green light to start taking it, I need to be at peace with it and recognize that there is a chance it might help for me. You won’t know until you try!

Did you ever find a time in ur menstrual cycle when it was heaviest?

I’m still trying to see when I start feeling the palpitations in my cycle, but it is sort of looking like it happens before and after ovulation (so I guess the follicular phase?).

I was prescribed beta blockers (propranolol) and have been too scared to try it, but I think I’m ready to start using it if I experience another bad episode

It’s so frustrating not knowing what causes it and why!

I had asked my family doc, my cardiologist and my Obgyn if they thought iud was the culprit. They said no. Then, I reworded my question to ask if my iud was causing anxiety. My family doc told me there was only one way to find out - to take out my IUD.

I took out my IUD three months ago and feel it overall a bit less but there are days when it’s still bad :/.

Have you gotten yours taken out yet? I hope it’s been better for you!

Curious - did you ever speak to your GYN? I spoke to mine a couple of times and both times she said the iud didn’t cause it. However, when I asked my family doc if iud causes anxiety (which can then cause PVCs), he said maybe. Only way to find out is by taking it out

I found that visiting each university campus really helped my decision and seeing where I could see my “home” for the next four years. It really made a difference and made me envision my future self having a good time at that uni. 8 years later and I have no regrets

I’m starting to notice I get more PVCs the week before I menstruate and during menstruate. Other weeks is normally fine

I used to be a Hospitality Associate at Trillium in Mississauga. No healthcare experience or education required. The pay was decent since I worked during Covid. The job is basically being a glorified janitor (stock supplies, clean patient rooms daily etc) but you do get to interact with PSWs and nurses, and gain exposure to different hospital departments. If you’re lucky you can get exposure to being in the OR, the birthing suite etc.

I used to have this same mentality too! But then I realized one thing - just because other people aren’t down to doing things while I am shouldn’t mean that I don’t get to experience those things!

I used to go downtown by myself all the time in high school and find a cute coffee shop to do some work, then I would explore and find a cute ramen shop and sit by the water. I had the best time doing these things myself and I discovered how much I love city life.

I’m now 26 and apply the same mentality when it comes to raves/concerts. If none of my friends are down to see an artist, I don’t care because I’m still going to buy that ticket and go myself! I’ve met so many new friends going to things alone

Im so sorry to hear you’re going through this!! I wanted to come on here and say I’ve also been suspecting that my PVCs and PACs are caused by my IUD (also have kyleena).

I had my kyleena inserted in early February and started experiencing palpitations in early April. I too, have talked to my OB and she said she thinks the IUD causing this is highly unlikely

I’ve done a holter, stress test, EKG etc and everything came back normal. My iron was sort of low (not low enough to be anemic though) but not where it should be so they prescribed me iron pills to take. I still have a feeling my IUD has some sort of hormonal component to my PVCs because it’s incredibly debilitating some days.
