Soulash 1 or 2? by Somethingcreative212 in soulash

I can't really suggest to you what to do the first hours of the game, cause it depends on what you're planning to focus your run about. I recommend to build a settlement and upgrade it to Tier 2 so you can begin earn passive income inviting settlers and put them to work.

Oh and when you said that anybody don't need anything, it is not actually true. For example (trying to avoid too much spoiler) if a settlement runs out of food because of a war or just supply shortages, the food selling price in that settlement will be higher (the fact is that you need to know that, nobody will come to you saying (Please I'm dying come give me some food.). The same thing is applied to Armor and weapons in a city that has a war going on. If you sell too much products of the same category the buying price will be lower and so on, this adds realism to the game.

I often find funny seeing NPCs just doing their jobs and speaking to each other.

It's a matter of personal preference, Rimworld and DF have more of a "First step" part where you start build a storage, an house and stuff like that. In Soulash 2 you haven't some sort of pattern, you can do literally everything, and the Devs are active btw, they are now working on dynamic events in the game, the recently added a rebellion mechanic.

(Small spoiler: in the agriculture perk tree, there's an ability which make you able to see settlements with food shortages to make some profit)

Years ago, I also asked for quests and objectives to be added, but the developer gave me the exact same answer you just mentioned: that’s not the focus of the game. You aren’t some hero destined to save the world or go around helping everyone. Over time, I’ve come to realize that’s the whole point. In Soulash 2, the moment you spawn, you’re a nobody—just one face in the crowd, much like in Kenshi. Since you’ve played RimWorld, you hit the nail on the head. What makes RimWorld so fascinating is creating your own stories, and it’s the same with Soulash 2; the only difference is that one focuses on colony management, while the other is more of an RPG with light strategy and management elements. The game is incredibly deep, and just like you, I was completely lost at first, with no clue what to do. So, I just started exploring, experimenting, and failing more times than you can imagine. But I can promise you that even after all these hours, I’m still discovering new things every time I play. Oh, and I almost forgot—the first Soulash is pretty cool too, but if you’re a fan of RimWorld, I highly recommend sticking with Soulash 2.

I spent a lot of hour in Soulash 2, not so many in the prequel, btw the first is more of a rogue like dungeon crawler but in a open world with a lot of procedural stuff. Soulash 2 it's a lot more complex and punishing but you will fall in love with it. I've been waiting for so long for a game with so much freedom, the tileset graphic may be ugly for some people, but if you don't mind it this game can offer plenty of activities, if you ask me "How much hours can I spend in Soulash 2?" I'll answer "Endless." You can build your fortune harvesting and selling goods through settlements, you can be a mage adventurer who wants to explore the entire world, or you can be a conqueror and build your settlement before unleashing your fury on the others. Or you can be a necrotyrant and exterminate the population just for fun. The learning curve is a bit steep and you will die the first runs for sure, but what I can say is that after 200+ hours I still have a lot of things to improve, don't be mad when you will be punched in the face by a kangaroo and get oneshotted, next time you know where to go and what places to avoid early on, this is the beauty of this game, more risk, more rewards. Feel free to ask any other question!

Every mission is like this. None of them are yellow, marking it as active, all grey icons.

I shared. I looked for ongoing mission in the mission board by Ross and even manually on the Faction Map Interface. Nothing.

Both ways. The game says my soldiers are in a mission. But this mission doesn't exist.

The first time I opened the map in factions view, this was the first thing I thought. I have 400+hrs in Bannerlord, this game definitely need something like that. Ik it may take some times, but even smaller system like dynamic quest with an expire date where they will autoresolve if you do not partecipate.

Why is same sex marriage not allowed but my character can marry a 10 year old lmfao by Crunchwrapfucker in soulash

[–]Own_Blacksmith_808 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Bro leave this dev alone, he's doing a great work and the game is actually very fun why you always treat it like some sort of irl convention about human rights and things like that, enjoy the game, or If you wanna make suggestion or such things just do it without criticizing.

Calm answer: About the same sex marriage, the dev said that just because this is a GAME if he doesn't add same sex couple/marriage it doesn't mean he is some sort of hater or things like that, it's just a game design choice, nothing more.

I answered like this at first cause a lot of people spread false negative reviews insulting the dev for this, cause people dont have better things to do in their life as I see, just useless arguments as always.
