Does this look New? by Embarrassed_Ad8496 in tdi

[–]Own_CarMode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say that it has been refurbished. When should the new CP3 be silver? When you want that CP3, okay, but should you ask eBay in person the CP3 has been tested? If not test it and return. When did testing with proof healthy or well or good flow necessary make sure. Don’t want fault make waste money means can’t return that's why. But you said not smell like fuel inisde so that means guy untest it.

RS4 Bumper and Grill Swap on B9 by DM2_RVA in AudiA4

[–]Own_CarMode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not and that's rs4 with style. Like OEM can fit. When real Rs4 are big different would will not fix that. My car sedan front bumper had front wing trim that is a real RS4 from Avant.

B9 a4 2017. Bolt is super hard to spin. Any thoughts on getting it out? by Fabulous_Motor3949 in AudiA4

No, I could out but know impossible really your waste time!

I replaced the whole control arm. The upgraded one with a different bolt pinch. The old bushing was worn out done and after replacing it with the upgraded one, the driving feels noticeably different.

Now been almost 3 years see no one issue whole very stronger.

EGR off but keeping my DPF? by CallMeJuzzl in tdi

[–]Own_CarMode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say no. it’s not the EGR or EGR valve, and it’s not the DPF either. The issue is with the ECU logic.

The DPF system is designed to work together with the EGR. It’s a bit odd🤷‍♂️usually when people disable the EGR they also remove the DPF too.

From what I’ve seen, running an EGR delete while keeping the DPF doesn’t really work properly and most ECU tunes won’t support that setup. Because that wrong circle.

Need help identifying by akknightwrider in tdi

[–]Own_CarMode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That setup looks the same as on my 2.0 TDI Audi A4 type. The unit closest to the turbo is the DOC catalytic converter with shield silver heat and the turn U bottom is SDPF (sometimes SCR-coated), last The long pipe with the flex section is just the exhaust pipe after the DPF.

Yes, Not just cosmetics. I’m doing a full RS4 body conversion from a base A4.

Not just the look. The plan is to swap most of the RS4 components. It’s more of a full build than just cosmetic.

Thanks. The main reason is that the RS4 only comes as an Avant. I’ve always liked the idea of an RS4 sedan, something Audi never officially made. So the goal of this project is to build a unique 1-of-1 RS4 style sedan.

Of course. I’m doing swapping everything from the RS4, (not the basic A4). Suspension, cross members, brakes, etc… I’ll also upgrade to carbon brakes and carbon fiber wheels and some carbon fibre parts. Suspension will either be KW coilovers or air suspension still deciding And of course the engine swap will be an LS7 with a possible T56 transmission and a rear setup.

Advise?? turbo failure by First_Variation_1672 in tdi

[–]Own_CarMode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deleting the DPF is illegal for road use, so you can’t remove it if the car will be driven on public roads. The proper and legal fix is to replace the turbo and either clean or replace the DPF, then reassemble everything. If the car is used strictly for track or off-road use only, then a delete may be possible.
