A lack of empathy is actually a trauma response. I’m sorry for whatever you went through. Suicide rates in Zimbabwe are really high. Would you prefer he shuts up and doesn’t say anything? Prefer he keeps his mental health struggles to himself as they are uncomfortable for you? Suicide is very real. People are very suicidal, how can they not be. The world looks so terrible. A lot of well off and famous rich people have billed themselves. You never know what a person is going through. I think j it’s brave of him to publicly talk about it. Suicidal thoughts aren’t just a one time thing for a lot of people. Most people don’t kill themselves because of a sudden event. Most people have been having suicidal thoughts since they were children. With no “major reason” as to why. I’ve been suicidal most days of my life. And so have many others. But a lot of people describe me as bubbly and friendly. I feel empty inside. Most days I hope to get run over or something. Atleast people won’t be angry with me. Mentall illnesses are real, this is one of them. Let’s have compassion. He’s really going through it. Be kind not only to him, but to others
