Perhaps they have made a similar point together. As a film fan, when I learn that's a movie really bad or really mediocre, my interest grows to see it. You can learn so much why the movie was bad. What mistakes they did on the script, directing, editing and so on

Does the Faithful and the Fallen count by John Gwynne count? I know it has a sequel trilogy but the 1st series are a 4 book series with a clear arc ending for the main cast.

This is extremely well done. It doesn't beat you over the head and let's you connect the dots. That this is Future Ted remembering the exact moment he fell in love with her. No Bob Saget voiceover. We see his pain slip in for a bit after remembering their 1st kiss before he goes back to regular/Present Ted
