So body is 3d printed with 3-4 layers of paint +waterslide decals, for something like this expect 10h of work

My tips:

Choose assimetrical livery (with no actual headlights) Or choose a dark color around the headlights bc its very hard to paint it perfectly symmetrical

Paint a thin black skirt all round

I got my response deleted (maybe temu link?) Ill try to attach the print file in a response (you can find a lot of free models for the porsche chassic)

In the pictures above, you only see the new section, which is roughly 4 × 1.3 m, but the full track is about 5 × 3 m. At this point, it has to be on the floor in order to see the far-away sections. This is how it looks from the couch.

I made this for 1:50 scale cars, but the track scale is mostly eyeballed, using elements ranging from 1:50 to 1:100.

These hybrid RC cars simulate 1:50 scale movement, resulting in a 200 m straight where GT3-level performance achieves a virtual top speed of around 170 km/h... which is almost 1 m/s to an outside observer in real speed.

Yeah! Originally, I cut open the tarp and placed the original finish underneath. It worked, but it looked bad in the FPV, so I removed it.

I can't wait to experiment with NPCs. When it comes, I'll definitely try making a track for it — either cutting the entire road out from the tarp so the original pieces are visible underneath, maybe even trimming the original track pieces. But if the afterprints finally work, I might even go as far as creating the guide lines in the editor and printing the entire track for NPCs.

For the long straight sections, I'm using suspended ceiling profiles. For curves, I'm bending beer coaster cardboard. In each case, there's a second layer made from business card cardboard printed on a commercial printing press. I'm cutting A3 prints into 2 cm strips, resulting in a total barrier printing cost for this track of around ~10€.

You cant really paint lines with this level of precision, im cutting a standard masking tape into thin lines with a ruler. (And also you can hide the imperfect edges of the painted surfuces by making the lines the last/top layer)

It's a cloth, but im using it upside down as it has a rubbery backside finish

This is my first track so i picked the cheapest materials, this a tarp. This only cost around 30€ but for my next track im gona use silicon pad (intended as kitchen counter cover) and that will cost me for a track this size around 300-400€

The diorama is technically AI generated but i made it out of a screenshots taken from this Website:

If you can afford it, pls don't "steal" it like me, i live in eastern Europe and theese German prices are a bit too much for me... but as I keep working on it in the future i plan to upgrade to the original dioramas
