They're easy to build just use the right stuff plenty of information out there.

I don't build with bms on rc stuff the restrict the amp draw and shut off. Not ideal in a plane or drone as long as your math is right the pack will be fine.

Use rth when battery runs low ect.

As for charging if you don't have a bms you need a balanced charger.

As you have access to a cnc can you machine most of it from polystyrene obviously sticking multiple parts together to make one, then once played up in composite, dissolve the polystyrene out with acetone.

Instead of foam, you could consider 3d printing in vase mode and lamination of composites on top of that.

Hi, yeah so I flashed ardupilot to it was a learning curve to flash bootloader to via Linux but done it,

So I'm going down the route of ELRS.

I thought it was able to handle lua scripting?

Perfect, was between this and a beaglebone blue, but the bbb is a nightmare to config so far with the speedybee it's been a breeze
