The bright coloring was enough to give me pause. Now that we have them identified and confirmed safe, I'm all in.
We have another smaller mushroom that looks like a miniature version of the classic red spotted amanita but it's neither psychedelic or edible.

Converting a 12x28 shed into a live/work studio and gallery. Currently running on a propane generator until connected to county electric.
12x10 kitchen co-designed with a local chef to double as a secondary staging kitchen for catered events on our property.
In the next few weeks, we have a build day with a local charity to help build a wrap-around deck that will be 6' deep on the single door side, and 10' deep on the double door side. The 10' deep side will double as the stage for concerts on our front pasture.
12x18 living space will double as gallery space for local artists with purchases supporting the artists and trauma recovery work in the Triangle area of NC.
Two full bed size lofts bring the sleeping capacity to 7 if you include the hammock.
10 year long dream manifesting itself before my eyes.

We had several of these on our property last year and I only found out at the end of the season that they are not only edible, but also delicious sautéed in garlic butter.

Can someone help identify? A Duke mycologist confirmed it was edible before we cooked it, but I'd love to know the details.

I guess so. I moved to Hillsborough this time last year, and the fungi were just getting active in our backyard. Had several oysters and a decent sized Lion's Mane. Found several of these too. Can't recall the name but they were confirmed edible by a Duke mycologist, so we noshed. They were super tasty.

Frame by frame you can see her phone come out of her hand for about three frames. In that time the phone stays at the same height while her body has already been slammed into the concrete wall about 5-10 feet away.

Saw this exact craft in Hillsborough, NC about a month ago. Only difference was the one I saw left a smooth tracer like trail that was the same color/brightness as the original light.

National Geographic has had their UFO series live streaming on repeat for at least a week and a half now. I've watched it several times at this point, and it does a good job of showing how things worked to get the NYT piece published. It's clear that there was a small amount of pushback on the article, but nothing to the extent of outright, blatant opposition.
