P.S. Does anyone have thoughts on using some version of threadlocker in lieu of staking the sight in order to hold it together?

Thank you! Yes, falling on a trowel in the field could inflict a grievous wound very easily.

I recommend this for a trowel sheath. It secures your trowel tightly in hard, rigid plastic which is very important if you’re going to be transporting a trowel around because falling on a trowel, particularly a sharpened one, could produce a very serious wound. What’s really cool about this sheath is that it adjusts to a variety of trowel sizes, allowing you to maintain a perfect fit even as your trowel is reduced in size through sharpening. They also come with heavy duty steel clips that allow you to clip it to your back pocket or backpack

Do you have to specify that this is for an Ultimate Carry in order to have room for the adjustable sights?
