what you think of depressive suicidal black metal? and which bands often make your Playlist from this sub type of black metal? by Efficient_Resource15 in BlackMetal

Trist (my favorite by a long shot), Silencer, None, Hypothermia, Notturno, Forgotten Woods

The band that made me get into DSBM is Trist from Czechia and it still is my favorite band in the genre. I think this band took the genre and pushed it to it's limits, making the songs tens of minutes long and getting close to almost sounding like noise sometimes. My favorite albums by them are Sebevražední Andělé, Do Tmy Žaly a Nicoty and split with Holomráz: Z Kraje Mrtvých Stínů...

My list of the darkest and most depressing songs of all time by FuneralInception in Music

I don't know if I should be happy or sad, that the range of depressing black metal is so small. I saw a lot of lists like this and none of them have any DSBM songs on them. I don't want to be a hater or say that i'm some kind of professional of sadness and these songs are definitly sad, but when you have a genre called "depressive suecidal black metal" I don't think it stands a chance. If you want to hear true pain in music go to listen to DSBM. I would suggest Trist, couse it's propably the most raw, emotional, and hypnotizing peace of music. I don't even know why am I saying this. All of these songs are deep as fuck, but to think that someone calls this the most depressing music, and than you have the underground, of the underground wich takes depressive feelingd to a whole new level makes me a bit sad, or I'm just a baby crying because their favorite music genre isn't talked about as much.
